The few times I heard him speaking about COVID I sensed great compassion in his voice, and I got strength from how much of a lion he was in his heart, unwavering in his fight for the truth and trying his best to help and protect people. It's so hard to know for sure who people really are these days, if they really are who they appear to be. Nonetheless, whoever Doctor Zelenko might have been, I want share all my respect for the compassionate man he showed himself to be, and also express the sadness in my heart over the passing of a brave warrior.

Tear gas or pepper spray used at nightclub when teens died, eyewitness says

First, then they said it was crushing from a stampede, then they said they didn't know what happened, then they said it might be carbon monoxide poisoning, now teens are saying it was something else:

Sibongile Mtsewu, 22, said he was ordering drinks at the crowded Enyobeni Tavern near the South African city of East London over the weekend, when suddenly the doors were closed and some type of chemical agent was released into the air.

"There was no way out," Mtsewu, who lives nearby, told ABC News in a telephone interview Thursday. "There was no chance to breathe."

Mtsewu said he passed out after inhaling the substance. He recalled being surrounded by bodies when his brother woke him up some time later.

"The tear gas suffocated many people," he told ABC News. "That's why people died."

Fifteen arrested over Channel migrant tragedy

In November, 27 people died when their flimsy boat sank near Calais as they tried to make the dangerous journey across the Channel to reach the UK.

Seven months on, French police have now indicted 13 men and two women.

Some could face charges of involuntary manslaughter and people smuggling.

According to French media, the arrests were made at the start of this week in northern and eastern regions of France, as well as various locations across Paris.

The majority of those arrested are of Afghan and Pakistani nationality. Other media are also reporting that at least two are French.

French media is reporting that the smuggling network was set up to provide passage for Afghans fleeing the Taliban take-over there. But most of those who died on 24 November were of other nationalities - mainly Kurds from Iraq.
