SPRINGFIELD, VA: "Police in northern Virginia say an officer shot a suspect outside a shopping mall Thursday. Fairfax County Police said on Twitter late Thursday afternoon that their preliminary investigation indicates officers were trying to stop a wanted suspect outside Springfield Town Center when the confrontation occurred. The suspect was taken to a nearby hospital. A police spokesman, 2nd Lt. James Curry, said no officers were injured, according to the preliminary investigation. Thursday’s shooting comes less than two weeks after a shooting at another Fairfax County mall, Tysons Corner Center. No one was injured by bullets in that shooting, but three people were hurt while fleeing the mall."

CHARLESTON, WV: "After more than two years of efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Guard’s COVID-19 response mission will transition from a federal level to a state level after tomorrow. This means the West Virginia National Guard’s longest federal mission will end on July 1, 2022. According to Maj. Gen. Bill Crane, WVNG Adjutant General, West Virginia Governor Jim Justice has authorized the activation of 60 WVNG personnel to a status of State Active Duty to continue efforts to support COVID-19 response around the state through September 2022. While the governors of each state have been commanding their Guards’ responses, Crane says the Department of Defense has been fully funding the efforts under a FEMA mission assignment authorized by the President of the United States. The WVNG says that the Mountain state may receive a reimbursement from FEMA’s Public Assistance program at a 90% federal cost share after July 1, 2022."

I thought 'Cassidy' referred to 'Cassidy Hutchinson', but just saw in stream that it was written outside the home of Senator Bill Cassidy, who is one of those that protesters are blaming for putting 'right-wing judges' on the Supreme Court. Makes more sense considering who wrote it. kek
