Governor Parsons from Missouri today signed an election bill in an effort to make elections more secure.

Today, during a signing ceremony at the State Capitol, Governor Mike Parson signed five pieces of legislation into law, including House Bill (HB) 1878, which modifies Missouri’s election laws to strengthen election processes and voter confidence.

Democrat Kentucky Rep. John Yarmuth on Wednesday told the Louisville Courier Journal about Biden's plan to nominate Federalist Society contributor and former state solicitor general Chad Meredith to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky.

Yarmuth claimed Meredith's nomination came in exchange for McConnell agreeing to not stop the Biden administration's future federal nominations.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, a Democrat, confirmed Meredith's nomination to the media the next day, saying, "If the president makes that nomination, it is indefensible."

Beshear said he understands that Biden has not formally submitted the nomination yet and hopes it "means in the very least it's on pause."
