>Was speaking in tongues ever not bullshit?

The gibberish type?

It was never legit.

Speaking in tongues was the ability by the Spirit to speak in a foreign language to get the Gospel spread lickety-split in the days of the Apostles,

from 37 AD to roughly around 100-105 AD,

when the last Apostle, John, died.

Prophecy was involved with laying down the Scriptures.

John was given the Revelation,

thus ending prophecy.

Healing, as far as a sign of an Apostle,

also ended.

However, one may still pray for God's mercy in sickness,

and He has answered such prays at times in various ways,

sometimes as simply wisdom towards a good outcome.

But it's not the same as signs of the Apostles.

I doubt Paul spoke Latin.

Certainly Hebrew and Greek.

However, there were other peoples that did not speak those languages.

An example would be found in Acts Chapter 2:

8 And how is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born?

9 Parthians and Medes and Elamites, those dwelling in Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,

10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya adjoining Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes,

11 Cretans and Arabsโ€”we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.โ€

Paul's missions involved Cappadocia, Pontus, Asia (this was not referring to the whole of Asia Minor,

but only a part of it, the capital of which was Ephesus), Phrygia, Pamphylia, and more.

"Sophia" means "knowledge" or "wisdom".

That edifice was created by a demon possessed mad man,

Justinian I.

He is the one who created the office of "bishop over all bishops" in order to regain the western Roman Empire,

and reunite it with the Eastern side as it once was.

He appointed this role to the bishop of Rome,

after ousting the local bishop there.

Justinian was an apostate,

and demon possessed.
