The lavish deliveries of ‘lethal aid’ from the US, UK and other NATO countries to Ukraine amid its conflict with Russia have led to marketplaces where some of those weapons can be purchased popping up on the dark web, RT Russian has learned.

The Ukrainian traders claim to offer not just small arms or body armor there, but also such sophisticated hardware as Javelin and NLAW anti-tank systems or Phoenix Ghost and Switchblade explosive drones.

That said, it’s not possible to completely rule out that the sellers actually did not have the said weapons in stock, as the RT investigators did not complete the purchase. Scamming schemes are common for dark web marketplaces.

RT was able to contact one of the said sellers through a marketplace on the darknet and agree the purchase, for a price of $4,000, of a Phoenix Ghost loitering munition, which had been developed by the US especially for the needs of the Ukrainian military.

As for the drone, the trader assured that it’ll be placed into a stash, with its coordinates and the photo of the spot to be shared after the payment is made through the marketplace, acting a guarantor of the deal. The parcel is going to be dug into the ground in the woods, he said.

When asked if the Phoenix Ghost could be delivered to an area outside Ukraine, specifically the Polish border town of Przemysl, he replied this won’t be a problem, but would cost an extra $1,000.

This potentially suggests that the Ukrainian arms smugglers may have already established contacts with border guards and are able to cross in and out of Poland without complications.

RT has also exchanged messages with another trader, nicknamed ‘weapons ukraine,’ who was looking to sell batches of US-made body armor at the price of $ 1,500 for five units, and M4 rifles with a silencer and a hundred bullets for $2,4000 thousand per set.

Texas Supreme Court Blocks Lower Court Ruling That Allowed Abortions To Continue

The Texas Supreme Court has given the go-ahead for the state to enforce laws that ban abortion, blocking efforts that barred the laws from taking effect after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling.

On Friday, the Texas Supreme Court allowed the state’s longstanding pre-Roe abortion ban to take effect by blocking a lower court order that said clinics could continue performing abortions.

Last Tuesday, Judge Christine Weems in Harris County issued a temporary restraining order to block the enforcement of the 1925 Texas law banning abortion unless required to save the mother’s life.

Abortions in Texas were already restricted under the Texas Heartbeat Act or Senate Bill 8, a law that took effect in September 2021.

Weems’ order had reassured some clinics that they could temporarily resume abortions up to six weeks, roughly when a heartbeat is detectable in the unborn baby.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced on June 30 that he sought emergency relief from the Texas Supreme Court by asking it to vacate the temporary restraining order issued by Weems.

Paxton’s petition was granted, and the state has returned to enforcing the Texas Heartbeat Act. A later hearing on the case is scheduled for July 12.

Roe v. Wade enabled abortions up to 24 weeks of pregnancy across the country, but that changed last week. The decision by the U.S. Supreme Court on June 24 sent abortion regulations back to states.

Video is circulating on social media of a Ukrainian-Israeli man who's been captured by pro-Russian separatists. In the video, 40-year-old Vladimir Kozlovsky tells a bleak story of his brief service with the Ukrainian military.

"When the war started, my wife and I wanted to leave the country," says Kozlovsky, according to a translation of the video by Israeli news site ynet. "I am also a citizen of Israel…Before the border, in Uzhgorod, I met with the Israeli consulate, they gave me a special certificate so I could leave the country—but I was stopped at the border. The border guards detained me and did not let me out."

Uzhgorod is in westernmost Ukraine, on the Slovakian border. While Kozlovsky's wife and child were allowed to proceed, Ukraine bars men age 18-60 from leaving the country so they can be available for conscription into the war against Russia.

At Least 5 Killed in Magnitude 6.1 Quake on Iran Gulf Coast

DUBAI—At least five people were killed and 49 injured by a magnitude 6.1 earthquake in southern Iran early on Saturday, state media reported, with the area also hit soon after by two strong quakes of up to 6.3 magnitude.

Some 24 tremors, two with a magnitude of 6.3 and 6.1, followed the 2 a.m. local time quake that flattened the village of Sayeh Khosh near Iran’s Gulf coast in Hormozgan Province. The most recent tremor occurred around 8 a.m., officials told state TV.

“All of the victims died in the first earthquake and no-one was harmed in the next two severe quakes as people were already outside their homes,” said Foad Moradzadeh, governor of Bandar Lengeh country, quoted by the state news agency IRNA.

Emergency services spokesperson Mojtaba Khaledi told state TV that half of the 49 people injured had been discharged from hospitals.

Officials said search and rescue operations had ended.

Saeid Pourzadeh of the Kish island crisis task force said Gulf shipping and flights had not been affected by the quakes.

State TV said 150 quakes and tremors had struck western Hormozgan over the past month.

Major geological fault lines crisscross Iran, which has suffered several devastating earthquakes in recent years. In 2003, a magnitude 6.6 quake in Kerman Province killed 31,000 people and flattened the ancient city of Bam.

Scottish Govt Workers Told Biological Sex Is ‘Falsehood’ Invented to ‘Reinforce White Supremacy’

Scottish civil servants have been instructed that biological sex is a “falsehood” which was “set by the medical establishment to reinforce white supremacy and gender oppression”.

The taxpayer-funded LGBTI+ internal staff network of the Scottish Government — a devolved administration roughly equivalent to a state government in the U.S. — was allowed to carry out its ‘Trans 101’ course for civil servants during worktime, promoting what critics described as “highly political and discriminatory material” in comments to The Telegraph.

A ‘trans language primer’ poured particular scorn on so-called TERFs, or Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminists, suggesting they should be rechristened as FARTs, or Feminism-Appropriating Ridiculous Transphobes.

“TERFs are transphobes loosely organised into a trans hate group” who have an “obsession with trans people in sports”, the primer asserts.

“While they hate all trans people, they attack trans women especially aggressively as trans woman challenge TERFs’ view of biological essentialism around the identity and experience of womanhood,” it accuses, further alleging that TERFs have an “unhealthy fascination with trans kids and work especially hard to make the lives of trans kids miserable”.

In addition to dismissing biological sex as a “falsehood” invented to “reinforce white supremacy” in some ill-defined way, the training took issue with the “outdated” terms biological men and biological women, and even male-bodied and female-bodied.

“Wo/men have fe/male bodies, regardless of their trans status,” a slide on the subject declares, insisting that “wo/men are both biologically and genetically wo/men, regardless of their trans status.”

This statement seems to be a direct shot across the bows at people like Harry Potter author JK Rowling, who has previously mocked the idea that a “penised individual” who perpetrates a rape should be regarded as “a woman”.

Commenting on the training, Susan Smith of the For Women Scotland organisation — which might be described as a FART group by the trainers — asked how women could trust that “civil servants, potentially including those drafting legislation like gender recognition reform, have any care for our rights when they are being trained to call us offensive names and told we are hate groups?”

Smith also suggested that the training was unlawful due to its politically and ideologically biased nature: “Perhaps the Scottish Government think they are above the Equality Act and other laws on discrimination in the workplace — they are not,” she said.

Defunding Wuhan: Congress quietly bans federal funds from labs in China, Russia and Iran

Vote is latest action to acknowledge that theory that COVID-19 leaked from Wuhan research lab — once censored as preposterous and by news organizations, social media giants — is viable enough for government to vote with its pocketbook.

While U.S. intelligence has been unable in two years to determine for sure if COVID-19 leaked from a Chinese lab, Congress has decided it no longer wants to take the risk of funding medical research at labs controlled by Beijing or other American adversaries.

With little fanfare and in bipartisan fashion, House appropriators quietly amended the 2023 federal budget for health and science agencies on Thursday to ban any funding to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which U.S. intelligence fears may have been the origin point for the coronavirus pandemic, and other labs like it.

"None of the funds made available by this Act may be made available to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, or any other laboratory located in a country determined by the Secretary of State to be a foreign adversary, including China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran," reads the amendment approved by the House Appropriations Committee.

FOIAs Reveal Progressive Money Fueling FBI, DOJ, Leftist Activist and Election Official Coordination

A strange constellation has emerged through public records requests of coordination between progressive funders, federal authorities, corporations, state election officials, and leftist organizations.

Freedom of information requests have uncovered oddball and opaque relationships between some state election officials, federal officials, corporations, progressive activists, and those trying to influence the conduct of those same election officials. These relationships extend to junkets that include baseball games, travel, and even data exchanges between state officials and outside progressive groups.

The story begins with a series of freedom of information act requests aimed at a number of states to see if any election officials are tempted to apply for now-illegal money from the Mark Zuckerberg-funded Center for Technology and Civic Life. The FOIAs were submitted by the Public Interest Legal Foundation—with which I am associated—and were aimed broadly at election officials across the United States.

In one email, we find that the Democracy Fund—a hyper-funded progressive money source—is organizing state officials and third parties to discuss election administration.
