Interesting story actually. They got along wonderfully with the native indians, it was the spaniards who came up from St. Augustine that slaughtered them. Biggest mass murder in history. Almost created an intl incident as France was ready to declare war on Spain but the Spanish told them that they only killed Huguenots, which the French were okay with & stopped the international incident!
