Even the demons KNOW He is God.
Satan doesn’t seek God’s forgiveness. Satan’s “Non serviam”
God doesn’t force His love, mercy, grace and forgiveness on anyone. Free will. Creatures can choose or refuse His blessings.
Are you suggesting a repentant Satan has asked forgiveness? That’s something I hadn’t considered.
There is a current of mercy flowing around us but we have to desire to join the flow. Pride causes us to fight it instead of cooperating or surrendering.
Peter was suggesting that Jesus could avoid the suffering ahead. Satan tempted Jesus with the same idea.
Take up your cross. Don’t seek to avoid it,
Satan saw himself as a creature greater than this fully divine yet fully human being.
Therefore exhibiting a misplaced pride about Jesus’ standing as Satan did about his own.
But you are eliminating free will. Yes, Jesus died for all, but many will choose otherwise. Jesus opened the door, we, and presumably Satan, have the choice to turn toward it and enter, carrying our own crosses to get there.
We are going in circles. Every tongue will profess, but knowing Truth and choosing Truth are not the same thing.
