Next town north, Highwood, was THE Italian north shore town. His gramps prolly got successful enuf to move to HP to stay in school district, unless he was "connected", which is what Highwood was all about, providing "Services" of all kinds to one time full Army base of Ft. Sheridan.

Crimo's an Italian family known to Highwood, Highland Park. Their Deli is not far from Ravinia Festival grounds.
Shooter was NOT on roof. Witness saw him kneeling on ground, as he reloaded. I know the witness to be a very honorable man.

Grandfather born at HP Hospital in 1929 suggests parents fled here not too long after Haymarket or Great Financial collapse of 1907. Italy was devastated for much of that, and rurally really never recovered after WWI. Ft. Sheridan was BUILT because of Haymarket Square, and Eyetalians built support community for the fort at that time. Well known history for locals.
