Stood over more pools of fresh blood than I can recall…this looks legit. It congeals into globs and if it's still wet and fresh it's fairly bright. Gets darker with time. Looks like a very serious or fatal high trauma quick bleedout.
Looks like a fatal head shot frankly. Sadly too much xp. There's more to the picture without getting overly graphic. Almost certainly a lethal outcome w/o any other information. What you see on the ground is what you see after you remove the body shortly after the event. If they're down for a long time, it looks different. This was a bad outcome some for some family.
I can only speak to the likely hundreds of shootings, many fatal, that I have personally been at during or as the smoke cleared. Looked just like many others. Thankfully the pictures don't transmit the smell of fresh death. It's unpleasant, unmistakeable, and unforgettable.
