game theory says Israel cares little about Russian interests in Syria.
Israel is striking military targets (usually) and certainly is provided enough of an excuse on a regular basis to do what it does.
If Russia wants to stop the incursions, Russia will clamp down on its Syrian counterparts that let terrorists operate w/in striking distance of Israel.
If Russia pushes the issue with Israel (NOW especially) with a strike or something else, Israel will full regional bigshot on Syria right up to Damascus. Russia will not want to engage in separate wars, one on their border and another where heavy losses are guaranteed.
Russia might try to cajole Iran as a distraction….which will be catastrophic.
