One caption reads, "Crimo shared a video where he reached into a schoolbag in an empty fake classroom…" but that looks like it was filmed in a REAL classroom. Where is this location?

Paul Haggis to be released from house arrest following rape allegations

By Evan Simko-Bednarski July 5, 2022 3:19pm Updated

Director Paul Haggis will be released from house arrest while prosecutors in Italy decide whether to pursue rape charges against him.

Judge Vilma Gilli ordered the Canada-born filmmaker could be sprung from his hotel pending the investigation on Monday.

Haggis, 69, was detained in Puglia last month after a woman alleged he raped her over two days while he was in the country for an arts festival in Ostuni.

The accuser has not been identified, though press reports have described her as a 28-year-old British woman.

“We were supposed to work together, but instead he raped me from Sunday evening to Wednesday,” the woman told cops in the southern city of Brindisi, the Daily Beast has reported.

Report of unattended children in New Hampshire leads to arrest after gun, knife found in car

BY JAMES PALEOLOGOPOULOS

JULY 5, 2022

MANCHESTER, N.H. (WHDH) - A man in New Hampshire was arrested after police said they found a loaded gun and knife in the same vehicle as three unattended children.

Police in Manchester were initially called to a Walmart Monday night over reports of three young children being left alone in a vehicle.

Arriving officers found a locked car that was running and contained an unattended 9-year-old, 1-year-old and 8-month-old. Witnesses claimed the children had been alone for 20 minutes.

Police said a man identified as 27-year-old Tyler Kennedy soon came out of the Walmart and over to the vehicle. Officers then learned that a loaded gun was in the car, along with a knife. Both weapons were in a backpack that the children could apparently access.

Officials found probable cause to arrest Kennedy on three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Giuliani, Graham testimony sought in Trump probe

The Associated Press 28 min ago

TLANTA — The Georgia prosecutor investigating the conduct of former President Donald Trump and his allies after the 2020 election is trying to compel U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, and other members of Trump's campaign legal team to testify before a special grand jury.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis on Tuesday filed petitions with the judge overseeing the special grand jury as part of her investigation into what she alleged was “a multi-state, coordinated plan by the Trump Campaign to influence the results of the November 2020 election in Georgia and elsewhere.”

Willis also filed petitions for five other potential witnesses, including lawyers Kenneth Chesebro, Cleta Mitchell, Jenna Ellis and John Eastman. Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney signed off on the requests, which are similar to subpoenas, deeming them necessary to the investigation.

The special grand jury has been investigating whether Trump and others illegally tried to meddle in the 2020 presidential election in Georgia as he desperately tried to cling to power after Democrat Joe Biden's victory. Trump continues to insist that the election was stolen, even as he eyes another presidential run, despite the fact that numerous federal and local officials, a long list of courts, top former campaign staff and even Trump's own attorney general have all said there is no evidence of the fraud he alleges.

Beer CEOs have had it with Trump-era aluminum tariffs

The beer industry uses more than 41 billion aluminum cans annually, according to a Beer Institute letter to the White House dated July 1.

July 5, 2022 at 12:43 p.m.

The chief executive officers of major beer makers are asking US President Joe Biden to suspend aluminum tariffs that have cost the industry more than $1.4 billion since 2018.

The beer industry uses more than 41 billion aluminum cans annually, according to a Beer Institute letter to the White House dated July 1.

“These tariffs reverberate throughout the supply chain, raising production costs for aluminum end-users and ultimately impacting consumer prices,” according to the letter signed by the CEOs of Anheuser-Busch, Molson Coors, Constellation Brands Inc.’s beer division, and Heineken USA.

This letter to the president comes amid the worst inflation in more than 40 years and just months after aluminum touched a multi-decade high. Prices for the metal have since eased significantly.

“While our industry is more dynamic and competitive than ever, aluminum tariffs continue to burden breweries of all sizes,” the letter said. “Eliminating the tariffs will alleviate pressure and allow us to continue our vital role as strong contributors to this nation’s economy.”

Chelsea Handler Says She Wanted To ‘Call’ Melania Trump A ‘Prostitute’ During Her Kimmel Hosting Gig, But Wasn’t Allowed

By Katie Jerkovich Jul 5, 2022

Comedian Chelsea Handler said she wanted to “call” former first lady Melania Trump a “prostitute” during her recent hosting gig on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” but wasn’t allowed to for fear of the network being sued.

The 47-year-old comedian talked about her recent stint as a host of the ABC late-night show and said she was surprised by how much freedom she had to say what she wanted during her hosting gig. However, she admitted she did get some pushback when she wanted to call Melania a “prostitute.”

“We were going to call her a prostitute and then they said, ‘No, she’s sued people for calling her a prostitute,’” Handler told Variety magazine in a recent article.

“I’m like, ‘But technically she is a prostitute, so why can’t we say that?’” she added.

Handler said she had “never wanted to be on network television because they would never let me do my thing,” but was basically able to do “whatever” she wanted.

“But I have to say, this week on ‘Jimmy Kimmel,’ I did basically whatever I wanted and it was received so well,” the performer shared. “The amount of attention and messages I’ve gotten, it really feels like coming home.”

During the show last week, the “Chelsea Lately” star said that during the ongoing January 6 Committee hearings, “we also got a glimpse at Melania’s awfulness.” The entire bit can be seen here.

The “This Means War” star was also later asked in the Variety interview about comments she previously made about the former first lady during an interview she gave in 2017 at Sundance Film Festival, as The Daily Wire previously reported. At the time, the former talk show host was asked if she would ever want to interview Melania, to which Handler replied that the former first lady “can barely speak English.”

The interviewer noted how the comments got a lot of “backlash, but honestly, that’s one of the more tame things you’ve said in recent years.”

“Yes. And well, I also think Melania has proven herself to deserve that kind of retribution,” the former talk show host replied.

Unreal. And oil futures today down to $98/barrel. They were lower than than earlier today. But nothing will change the price at the pump. God no! Can't have that now, can we, when the Liberal World Order is at stake.

I think he was politically neutral in terms of left or right (why does there have to be a "side" assigned?) and just a deranged idiot who was easily exploited by groomers. He had a job at Panera Bread, for fuck's sake. Mother is off on another planet. Dad thinks he's important but he just runs a deli. So very easy to exploit these types.
