CO Relieved of Duty at Recruit Training Command

Rear Adm. Jennifer Couture, commander, Naval Service Training Command, relieved Capt. Jeffry Sandin, commanding officer, Recruit Training Command, of command on June 11, due to a loss of confidence in his ability to command.
Capt. Kertreck Brooks, chief of staff, Naval Service Training Command, has assumed responsibilities of command. Capt. Sandin has been reassigned to Naval Service Training Command headquarters.
