I’ve always heard people make this point my entire life. I disagree with it though. I get the premise, but something like this would be so revolutionary and lucrative that I have to think someone (large corporation) would have taken advantage of this sort of tech by now and would have made an even bigger fortune than they already have. Something tells me that, while these supposed innovations hold some promise, their must be some technological hurdle(s) that haven’t been figured out yet and are keeping them from being widely implemented. Like renewable energies we have now (solar, wind, hydro), it may be a valid idea but just not yet capable of efficiently and effectively supporting our infrastructure.
