Joe Biden on Wednesday traveled to Cleveland Ohio to deliver remarks on his American Rescue Plan at Max Hayes High School.

Biden attacked Trump, blamed Vladimir Putin for high gas prices and soaring food costs – while simultaneously claiming the Republicans are blocking his efforts to lower prices.

“We all remember what the economy was like when I was elected, a country in a pandemic with no real plans how to get out of it. Millions of people out of their jobs… The previous administration lost more jobs on his watch than any administration since Herbert Hoover,” Biden said attacking Trump with lies.

“We made incredible progress on the economy from where we were a year-and-a-half ago. We’ve got a long way to go because of inflation, because of the, I call it the Putin tax increase, the Putin, because of gasoline… I’m fighting like hell to lower costs on things,” Biden said.

Biden then claimed Republican lawmakers are obstructing his efforts to bring down prices.

“Republicans do nothing but obstruct our effort to lower your gas taxes, lower your food prices, lower your healthcare costs, lower your prescription drug costs,” Biden said.

This is brazen even for a serial liar and lifelong grifter like Joe Biden.

China blames NATO for ‘creating conflicts and waging wars’

Beijing’s Foreign Ministry has accused the US-led Western military bloc of undermining world peace

The US and its NATO allies have undermined world peace by triggering conflicts and starting wars, serving Washington’s selfish interests at the expense of innocent civilians around the globe, China’s Foreign Ministry has claimed.

“The history of NATO is one about creating conflicts and waging wars . . . , arbitrarily launching wars and killing innocent civilians, even to this day,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian told reporters on Wednesday. “Facts have proven that it isn’t China that poses a systemic challenge to NATO, and instead it is NATO that brings a looming systemic challenge to world peace and security.”

Zhao made his comments one week after NATO, for the first time, singled China out as a strategic priority and a “challenge” to Western interests.

Women's soccer sensation ruled ineligible for major competition due to 'gender verification' test results

Barbra Banda, the star striker on the Zambia women's national soccer team, has been disqualified from the upcoming Women's Africa Cup of Nations competition because of results from the "gender verification" tests all tournament participants are required to undergo.

Reports say that her results from pre-tournament "gender verification" testing, mandated by the African soccer confederation CAF, showed natural testosterone levels that exceeded the limits set by CAF in line with the regulations established by FIFA.

Andrew Karmanga, the president of the Football Association of Zambia, told BBC Sport Africa: "All the players had to undergo gender verification, a CAF requirement, and unfortunately [Banda] did not meet the criteria set by CAF."

Banda isn't the only member of FAZ whose test results rendered her ineligible to play. Three of her teammates also had similar tests results, though ultimately, they were not selected for the final 22-person roster anyway.

Banda, 22, first made international headlines at the Tokyo Olympics last year when she recorded hat tricks in back-to-back games, a feat that FIFA calls "an unprecedented achievement in women’s Olympic football history." It was the first time the Zambia women's soccer team had ever qualified for the Olympics, and they ultimately finished in ninth place.

According to Karmanga, the International Olympic Committee imposes "a less stringent standard" than CAF.

Thus far, CAF has not commented on Banda's ineligibility, and the organization's silence has frustrated Karmanga.

"Everybody at home [in Zambia] has been made to believe that FAZ did nothing and decided on their own to exclude the player," he said. "We the federations are compelled to undertake the tests, and then we pass on the information to CAF, and CAF, equally, test the players, if needs be, in the tournament.

"So it will be unfair to turn around and say CAF is not part and parcel of whatever has transpired," he asserted.

An official CAF document does require team physicians to attest in writing that all "players do not show any perceived deviation in secondary sex characteristics and are therefore presumed to be of female gender," and FIFA guidelines established in 2011 make similar demands for gender verification.

For now, Banda still travels with the team. At first, some hoped that medications intended to suppress testosterone would help bring her testosterone levels back down below the threshold, but even though those didn't work, Banda remains with the team for moral support.

"She's the captain of the team and she's equally important for team-building and ensuring spirit in the team," Karmanga said.

The team claims in a Facebook post that it has set its sights on qualifying for the 2022 FIFA Women's World Cup and that it is "in the background seeking redress on the circumstances surrounding some of our players."

US Marines Ask Court For Relief From COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate

Several members of the U.S. Marine Corps filed an amended complaint seeking relief from the Department of Defense’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for service members, claiming they were denied religious exemptions.

The complaint was filed (pdf) in the U.S. District Court Middle District of Florida against the Defense Department, Secretary Lloyd Austin, and Gen. David H. Berger, the head of the Marine Corps.

“The plaintiffs are Marines who face a deadline to receive an injection that violates their sincerely held religious beliefs since all of the COVID shots are associated with aborted fetal cells,” said a news release from Liberty Counsel, which filed the claim on 15 Marines’ behalf.

Those Marines, the release added, “have been refused any religious exemption or accommodation,” although the deadline to receive the vaccine has long passed. “These dates have passed, and disciplinary actions have already commenced,” it said.

Now, the Marines are seeking relief to prevent them from facing court-martials, dishonorable discharges, or other demeaning measures, according to the group.

“As we prepare to celebrate Independence Day, we must continue to fight for the freedom of those who protect us every day. No service member should be forced to choose between serving God and serving country,” Liberty Counsel Founder and Chairman Mat Staver said in a statement. “The Department of Defense continues to violate the law and ignore their religious freedom. This lawlessness must end.”

Since the Defense Department handed down the COVID-19 vaccine mandate for service members in August last year, numerous lawsuits have been filed. Two months ago, for example, a former Marine Corps captain filed a suit in the Eastern District of Texas and alleged the mandate is unlawful.

“The heart of the claim is that these are not vaccines,” former Marine Corps Capt. Dale Saran told The Epoch Times in late May about the suit. “They don’t have any live virus in them; the only thing that makes them even remotely related to a vaccine is the route of administration—a shot through a needle.”

And in March, U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor blocked the military’s vaccine mandate for all Navy members who were seeking religious exemptions to the shot.

“Each is subject to the Navy’s COVID-19 vaccine mandates. Each has submitted her religious accommodation request, and none has received accommodation,” according to his order. “Without relief, each servicemember faces the threat of discharge and the consequences that accompany it. Even though their personal circumstances may factually differ in small ways, the threat is the same—get the jab or lose your job.”

That ruling came days before the U.S. Supreme Court sided with the Pentagon in that case, temporarily granting the department’s request to allow top Navy officials to consider a Navy service member’s vaccination status on deciding whether they should be deployed.

The Epoch Times has contacted the Department of Defense for comment on the Liberty Counsel-backed complaint.
