come to think of it, I think it was the property owners who just had had it w/ the "people of Walmart" style QAnon Adherent Boomers who've been loitering and ogling around, trashing the place and vandalizing the monument w/ graffitis.
The monument was meant to be visited but the influx of increasing crowds of hostile morons was too much.
