I have a Sikh brother-in-law. Yes they're usually quite nice on the outside.
Sikhs are fundamentally opposed to Christianity. They believe God is omnipresent, formless, un-observable and mostly unknowable. They believe God has never been seen, hence Jesus was a liar. They believe God is completely different than humans, and we are not made in His image.

I moved from CA to the middle of nowhere in NV as a kid. I remember it was a big deal to us to drive out in the desert at night and turn off the lights because we'd never been able to see the stars like that before. It was beautiful. Later after being married my wife and I moved out there for a while and it was a big deal to her too because she's from the city.
