Its easy to get caught up in emotion and not think clearly when it comes to kids. BUT this 'think of the children' argument is exactly what they are using to try to strip gun rights. Precisely because it works so well.
So the more you work to overcome the emotional kickback, the more clearly you can think.
Logically, it is far more likely that a homeless person in the desert in Arizona with a kid could have tied a makeshift clothesline to trees, and tied food off the ground to keep bugs and scorpions off of it.
Its also more likely to be an illegal immigrant bolt hole. 11 million illegals in the US, many come through the desert through Arizona. It would be trafficking alright, but a small part of a huge illegal immigration problem and border patrol find these temporary camps ALL OVER THE DESERT all the time as illegals move through the territory to get into populated areas.
