allow me to ask a possibly dumb question about the kneeling scandal: why and how is kneeling seen as disrespectful?
not only is it silent and not-really-disruptive as a form of protest, but it's "taking a knee", in a way it's bowing to the flag even more than standing up…
if they were sitting on their ass during the anthem, i could see/understand the "insult", but as it is, honestly, i never quite understood why it triggered people so much.
The politics of it all, yeah, sure, but the method seems so benign and of little consequence…
