The Benefits of Global Slave Labor
Numbnuts hasn't the slightest idea of federalism which is the keystone of our Constitutional Republic. Federalism is a system of government under which the People are regulated by both the federal and state governments.
The federal government has limited power over all fifty states. State governments have the power to regulate within their state boundaries. State powers are also limited in the sense that states cannot make laws that conflict with the laws of the federal government.
IOW, Potato hasn't a clue that he has no power over the laws of the 50 States. Potato has no power to "veto" any proposed law of any state that regulates or restricts abortions.
Anon doubts that there are any Republicans in Congress seeking a federal prohibition against abortions. The Democrats, OTOH, are trying desperately to codify a federal right to abortions. This will never happen absent a Constitutional Amendment which, also, will never happen.
