Had a backup compass out in the field a few weeks ago and took a bunch of bearings that were all 3* off when adjusting for the mag declination at my location from some years ago. Just figured it was the reason that wasn't my primary in my go bag.
Checked my bearings on Google Earth and still three degrees off with correction…then checked the most recent mag declination and it was 3 degrees more than the old one. Almost doubled. Yeah, the poles are moving.
