NATO ex-commander encourages attack on Crimea bridge

Destroying the bridge would be a ‘huge blow’ to Russia, General Philip Breedlove believes

The bridge linking Crimea to the rest of Russia is a “legitimate target” for Ukraine, the former supreme NATO commander for Europe, General Philip Breedlove, believes. Kiev now has the ability to try and attack the bridge across the Kerch Strait with Western-supplied Harpoon anti-ship missiles, Breedlove told The Times in an interview published on Thursday.

“Kerch bridge is a legitimate target,” Breedlove stated. “It doesn’t surprise me at all that the Russians are concerned about Kerch bridge. It’s incredibly important to them.”

Now that the West has given Ukraine Harpoon missiles, I think the Russians have every reason to be worried about Ukraine launching an attack on the bridge.

The attack can materialize in retaliation to Moscow tightening its “naval blockade” on Ukraine, Breedlove claimed, suggesting that Russia might go as far as sinking civilian transport vessels carrying grain from Ukrainian ports.

Russia, however, has repeatedly stated that it was ready to provide safe passage for such ships, pointing out that the heavy mining of the Ukrainian coast, carried out by Kiev, was the only real obstacle for resuming grain exports by sea.

“There are many Western leaders and ex-leaders like me who are having conversations now about what would happen if Russia begins to sink Ukrainian grain ships or if the Russian naval blockade goes kinetic,” Breedlove said.

Several people I have spoken to say ‘dropping’ Kerch bridge would be a huge blow to Russia. Kerch bridge is a legitimate target.

While destroying the bridge completely would require a “dedicated bombing operation,” putting it out of order temporarily should be a fairly simple task, he said. All of the bridges have their “weak points” and hitting them “could render Kerch bridge unserviceable for a period of time,” the general added, citing his civil engineer training as proof of expertise.

Crimea voted to leave Ukraine and rejoin Russia in March 2014, following the US-backed Maidan coup in Kiev. The Crimea bridge was built to simplify the connection to the Russian mainland.

Destroying the bridge has been repeatedly floated as an idea by top Ukrainian officials over the past few months. While Russia seized the southeast of Ukraine during the ongoing conflict, establishing an overland connection to Crimea, Kiev seemingly remains fixated on striking the bridge.

Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD), author of Not My First Rodeo: Lessons from the Heartland, warned of China’s procurement of U.S.-based food production assets on Friday’s edition of the Breitbart News Daily podcast with host Alex Marlow.

Noem described foreign acquisitions of U.S. food production infrastructure and arable land as a threat to national security.

“I have been talking about food security as a national security issue for about 15 years, now, being involved in farming and ranching,” she remarked. “I was very young when I started working on federal policy, because the United States has always embraced a policy where we believed it was important to grow our own food in this country, and I’m a strong believer that when another country controls our food supply, that’s when they truly control us.”

She continued, “If we think a pandemic was scary, wait until we realize that we can’t put food on the grocery store shelves because China controls the entire system, and what most of America hasn’t been paying attention to, is that China — for years — has been buying up our chemical companies, our fertilizer companies, our processing systems, and now they’re buying land, and we have foreign countries that are heavily invested in that entire supply system.”

“We are losing control of the ability to feed our people,” she warned, “and that’s what is challenging us today. We finally are waking up to that, but it is going to be a serious situation that this administration needs to recognize they have a huge role in, and all they’ve done is strengthen our enemies and given them more ability to control our food supply which makes us in a very precarious situation as a country.”

Noem described big city life as a possible frustrater of human social instincts and needs. Small towns, she said, tend to afford a level of familiarity and depth of social interaction that she assessed as lacking in big cities.

“[I benefit from] an incredible perspective that so many people in this country don’t get to have,” Noem said of her life in South Dakota, “and they don’t realize how much they need it — that interaction and sense of community, and people who wave when they drive by on the road and stop and smile and ask how your day is going — is what keeps us human.”

She went on, “It feeds our souls and it helps our mental health, as well. I think so many people are constantly challenged with the busyness, the noise, and the lack of personal interaction that happens many times in big cities. [It] really does affect them long-term, and it would be good for everybody to get out and be in the country, and be in being smaller towns where people can relax and just understand that we’re all a part of humanity, and we were all created to love each other.”

Noem also warned of fatherlessness as a widespread problem across America.

“We have a fatherlessness issue [in America],” she stated. “Kids need parents in their life. They need a role model. Even for young men, it’s extremely important that they have a male role model — a father figure — in their life that can exemplify some of the traits that are needed to bring leadership to a family, but even for young women, it’s true.”

She reflected, “[My father] taught me things by doing them and giving me impossible things to do. … I think that all teaches you how to deal with other areas of life and other people, and that’s something that we’re missing in this country, right now.”

Fatherlessness contributes to excessive consumption of video games and television among children, Noem argued.

She advised, “We need our children to have people that are investing in them and are spending a lot less time watching TV and playing video games and doing entertainment than they are really spending facetime with their kids and teaching life lessons to them.”

“Our job is to prepare them for life,” Noem concluded. “When we look at our children, many times we see parents trying to do everything for their kids, and that’s crippling them. Our real job as parents is to prepare them for life, and I think the best gift my dad gave me was hard things to do, and I had to figure them out.”

Reports: Shops Launch Sales and Promos Across China to Celebrate Abe Shinzo Killing

Photos appearing to show Chinese vendors offering beverage discounts in celebration of former Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo’s assassination began to crop up on Chinese social media platforms including Weibo on Friday, Taiwan’s Apple Daily newspaper reported.

The photos appeared to show Chinese cafes offering beverage discounts in “celebration” of Abe’s assassination on July 8.

“Celebrating Abe’s death Milktea buy 1 get 1 free for 3 days straight [sic],” read an English translation of one of the Chinese language-printed banners.

“Celebrating Abe’s death, Buy 1 get 1 free [sic],” read another promotion.

“Celebration Abe’s assassination, all beer buy 1 get 1 free [sic],” read an additional poster.

Taiwan’s Liberty Times newspaper also published photos of the Abe assassination-themed beverage discounts in China on July 8. Evidence of the phenomenon began circulating on Twitter on Friday after an account for an organization called the “Great Translation Movement” began reposting photos of the distasteful advertisements.

The “Great Translation Movement” is an anonymous, volunteer-based online organization that aims, in part, to “expose China’s pro-Russia propaganda by highlighting mistranslations that falsely blame Ukrainian troops for bombings and atrocities perpetrated by Russian forces against civilians,” the U.K.’s Guardian newspaper reported in May.

The social media posts advertising free drinks in honor of Abe’s death on Friday are indicative of a general wave of anti-Abe sentiment that has washed over Chinese social media outlets in the wake of his shocking murder while delivering a campaign speech in western Japan.

Japan’s longest-serving prime minister, Abe Shinzo, was fatally shot on the morning of July 8 by a male Japanese suspect wielding what authorities have described as a homemade firearm. Abe, 67, had stepped down as Japan’s prime minister in September 2020 but was still active in politics. He was delivering a campaign speech in support of Japan’s conservative Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) two days ahead of a national election when he was gunned down on Friday.

Abe’s politically conservative views influenced him to hold a strong line against Chinese aggression toward Japan, which has most recently been demonstrated through repeated Chinese naval and coast guard intrusions into Japanese maritime territory. Abe led constitutional and legislative reforms that allowed Japan to revamp its Self-Defense Forces (Japan’s constitution does not allow it to have a military). Abe’s support for elevating Japan’s foreign policy stature made him a hated enemy of the Chinese Communist Party, as evidenced by Chinese regime-controlled social media outlets such as Weibo, Wechat, and Youku becoming home to a large volume of posts celebrating his death.

The Times of India observed on July 8 that some Chinese social media users “celebrated” the news of Abe’s fatal shooting “and even hailed the attacker as a ‘hero.'”

China’s Communist Party-run Global Times added insult to injury on Friday by claiming that Abe died earlier that day with a “bad reputation” among the Chinese public. The newspaper alleged that this was due, in part, to Abe’s decision in 2013 to visit Tokyo’s Yasukuni Shrine. The shinto shrine was established in 1869 to honor Japanese war casualties, including some Japanese war criminals from World War II. The inclusion of these criminals upsets China, which fought against Japan during the conflict.

Education Journal Publishes Call to ‘Eradicate Whiteness,’ Send It ‘to its Grave’

An academic article, styled as a “love letter” that seeks to provide the “consciousness needed to eradicate whiteness,” was published by the International Journal of Qualitative Studies in Education.

“We must actively and collectively help to do the work of disrupting, dismantling, and eradicating whiteness,” California State University East Bay professor G.T. Reyes says in his call to teachers.

Titled “A love letter to educational leaders of Color: “CREWing UP” with critical whiteness studies” the article called on scholars, including white scholars, to “fully humanize themselves by abandoning whiteness, destroying it, and sending it to its grave.” Reyes quoted another article when he said that this is the “greatest act of love whites can show.”

The summary of the article, archived here, explains that the letter is addressed to scholars of critical whiteness studies and intends to engage in “intentional healing rooted in humanizing, revolutionary, and decolonial love” as it prepares them to oppose whiteness.

“I am writing you a love letter. However, I do not speak of the kind of love that is dominantly seen through the lens of heteropatriarchy and whiteness,” the article reads, going on to malign that as a “reduced form of love.” Reyes touts critical race theory as a useful intellectual framework before going on to claim that “students of Color learn to hate themselves when whiteness is left intact by white teachers.”

Reyes argued that America is currently undergoing a “whitelash,” citing parents who have fought back against the presence of critical race theory in America’s K-12 schools. The article even responded to a critical message that the author received, arguing that “the use of caps lock throughout the message reflects both the racial hostility and white emotionality of the reader.”

Breitbart News previously reported that a healthcare journal claimed that whiteness is a “malignant, parasitic” condition without a “permanent cure.

T.G. Reyes and California State University East Bay did not return requests for comment.

Illegal Alien Gets $15K Bail After Allegedly Plotting July 4th Mass Shooting with Another Illegal Alien

One of the two illegal aliens accused of plotting a mass shooting on the Fourth of July in Richmond, Virginia, has been given a mere $15,000 bail.

As Breitbart News reported, Guatemalan nationals 52-year-old illegal alien Julio Alvardo Dubon and 38-year-old illegal alien Rolman Balacarcel Ac were arrested by the Richmond Police Department for allegedly plotting a mass shooting at the city’s annual July 4th celebration.

The mass shooting plot was thwarted thanks to an American “hero citizen,” according to police, who called in a tip.

Court records and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency confirmed that Dubon and Ac are illegal aliens.

Dubon arrived years ago on a nonimmigrant visa but overstayed that visa by four years. Despite having overstayed his visa, he was never deported. Ac was twice previously deported from the United States, in October 2013 and then in August 2014. He arrived back in the United States, presumably from the southern border, at an unknown later date.

While Ac remains in police custody in Charlottesville, Virginia, without bail, Dubon is currently booked in the Richmond City Jail. Though prosecutors urged a district judge to withhold bail from Dubon, the judge handed down a mere $15,000 bail that may allow the suspect to be released before trial.

“The Commonwealth objected to bond,” prosecutor Colette McEachin told WRIC 8 News. “Nevertheless, the General District Court judge granted a bond and decided on the $15,000 amount himself.”

ICE officials said they have detainers on both Dubon and Acthough President Joe Biden’s administration has gutted interior immigration enforcement, ensuring that fewer and fewer criminal illegal aliens are taken into federal custody.

The American citizen who thwarted the mass shooting plot called police after he heard a man discussing a plan to “shoot up” Richmond’s annual Fourth of July celebration.

That is when police raided Dubon’s residence to find two rifles, a handgun, and 223 rounds of ammunition. Dubon was subsequently charged with being in possession of a firearm as an alien to the United States.

After police reached out to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Richmond Police Chief Gerald Smith said they put surveillance on Ac, who lived at the same residence as Dubon.

Ac was then arrested and charged with being in possession of a firearm as an alien to the United States. Smith said they still do not have a clear motive as to why the pair allegedly sought to conduct a mass shooting on American citizens on July 4th.

“There is no telling how many citizens this hero citizen saved from one phone call … one phone call saved numerous lives on the Fourth of July,” Smith said.

Exclusive –GOP Reps. Jody Hice, Andrew Clyde Demand Action on U. of Georgia Hit List of Pregnancy Centers

Reps. Jody Hice (R-GA) and Andrew Clyde (R-GA) sent a letter to the University of Georgia demanding that the institution ensure it is not providing resources for a “hit list” website of pregnancy centers across the country, Breitbart News has learned exclusively.

Hice and Clyde urged Jere Morehead, the president of the University of Georgia, to ensure that university resources would not support the “Crisis Pregnancy Center Map,” a website created by two faculty members at the University of Georgia’s College of Public Health.

The map project allows users to identify the closest clinics; however, it provides the exact addresses of pro-life clinics around the country. While the map project aims to provide information about the locations of crisis pregnancy centers across the country, it refers to those clinics as “fake women’s health centers.”

The Georgia conservatives noted that the project lists the two professors’ University of Georgia email addresses.

Left-wing extremists have used the map to identify pro-life clinics to harass the clinics, as many of them do not provide access to abortion. Many Antifa-linked groups have cited the website to target pro-life clinics across the country.

In a statement to Breitbart News on Friday, Hice called the professors’ project “reckless and irresponsible” and urged the university to cut ties with the project.

“Since the Dobbs leak in early May, radical domestic terrorist groups have carried out violent targeted attacks against the pro-life movement across the country, resulting in unhinged criminal attacks – and fire bombings – of dozens of pregnancy crisis centers. These centers provide essential services to women and children in need, but they have become victims of violent left-wing terrorists,” Hice explained.

“The unhinged Left will stop at nothing to eradicate anything – or anyone – who opposes their radical pro-abortion agenda. And unfortunately, the University of Georgia’s resources are being used by radical organizations to identify their next targets. The professors’ project is reckless and irresponsible. The University must take swift action to cut all ties with it.”

Clyde also gave a statement to Brietbart News on Friday. “Unhinged rhetoric from radical abortion groups, members of Congress, and even the Biden Administration against Supreme Court Justices and pro-life organizations has gone completely unchecked for far too long — empowering individuals to dangerously take matters into their own hands in their murderous crusade against the unborn. From an assassination attempt against Justice Brett Kavanaugh to dozens of attacks against crisis pregnancy centers, these violent criminal acts are increasing across the country.”

On Wednesday night, protesters harassed Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh while he tried to eat at Morton’s in downtown Washington, DC.

Puget Sound Anarchists, an Antifa-aligned website out of Washington state, linked to the map website in a post about vandalism in the state.

“You can find your nearest fake abortion clinic on the Crisis Pregnancy Center Map,” the post reads.

The Minnesota Twin Cities Encampment Responders shared a link to the University of Georgia professors’ map after the Supreme Court released its decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

“A map of anti-abortion fake clinics, including dozens around the Twin Cities area … you know, just because information is power,” the group wrote.

The Colorado Liberation and Autonomy, a blog associated with Antifa, shared the University of Georgia project and said, “Defend reproductive rights. If abortions are not safe, neither are you.”

Clyde said that the University of Georgia map project is “ripe for abuse” and puts mothers, their children, and University of Georgia employees in danger. “It was not unrealistic to assume that the website developed by these UGA professors would be used by groups advocating for violence against pregnancy centers, and its continued existence allows for future risk at this tumultuous time,” he said.

“While this academic project may seem to be rooted in innocence, providing the collated address data of these crisis pregnancy centers makes it unquestionably ripe for abuse, ” he said. “It is disappointing that the state’s flagship university is allowing taxpayer-funded resources to provide this sensitive information to extremist organizations that are actively targeting crisis pregnancy centers — endangering mothers, their children, and employees — some of whom may be members or alumni of the UGA student body.”..

Welcome to the West Coast, Messed Coast™ report, where normal people are fleeing and those who can’t leave the states are at least ripping their kids out of the poisonous schools.

In the West’s next San Francisco, Seattle, school enrollment has plummeted because parents got a first-hand look at the awful curricula during Zoom school. These are the official numbers from the slavish local media, but one can assume they’re worse in reality.

In 2015 , the district reported a 1.5 percent drop in enrollment but as we got to the pandemic and the years following the enrollment numbers continued to drop, but more significantly.

This coming year, SPS is projecting enrollment at nearly 49,000 , a 7.7 percent drop in enrollment since the start of the pandemic in the 2019-2020 school year.

Here’s one dissatisfied customer who ripped his kids out and wants other parents to have the same ability to do so. This dad responded to teachers’ union poohbah Randi Weingarten, who took to Twitter to discard the idea of funding following the student instead of the school.

Ever wonder why there seems to be a limitless supply of Antifa terrorists in Portland, Ore., year after year, riot after riot, conflagration after conflagration? Why there’s no shortage of purple-haired screamers willing to toss Molotov cocktails, tag buildings with old-timey revolutionary slogans, set GOP headquarters on fire, firebomb pregnancy clinics, punch people they don’t like, loot stores, and point lasers into the eyes of police officers? Wonder no more. The Antifa summer camp for kids is back this summer for the first time since their fellow travelers in communist China unleashed the COVID-19 virus on the world.

Once again, Portland Leftists will support another new crop of screamers, taggers, rioters, looters, and IWW dead-enders at the Antifa training camp for kids called the Budding Roses Summer Camp.

We’ve told you about this metastatic social cancer in Portland before. My PJ Media colleague Jeff Reynolds reported in 2019 that Portland’s Leftist churches have allowed their facilities to be used to encourage the God-hating communists and anarchists in Antifa to bring up the next generation of nihilists to tear down the next generation of institutions.

And as I’ve reported at PJ Media, city parks, taxpayer money, and other resources have been put into the service of building the next generation of terrorists who don’t believe in right and wrong — unless it concerns their “struggle” against The Man.

The City of Portland has given the group space to conduct its in-person camp at a local park, and in 2018 granted the summer camp the “Spirit of Portland Award” for nonprofit initiative of the year. The program is said to be inspired by the “Black Panthers free breakfast program,” according to an official who bestowed the 2018 prize. The reason was the shared goal “to engage critically with social justice issues… in collaboration with the Burgerville Workers Union, Critical Resistance PDX (an anti-law enforcement group), Food Not Bombs…”

The fourth through eighth-graders who are invited to the camp are given handbooks of chants to scream at protests, encouraged to start their own protests, shown art techniques on how to tag buildings, and told where all the top riot spots are in the city.

Black Lives Matter bromides and “black resistance” techniques are taught in a handy coloring book. “Undoing the harm of colonization… by giving back to the earth that gives to you,” is naturally taught by virtue of encouraging … gardening? “With our seed balls, we are going to feed the bees that pollinate our food.” How is gardening an act of anti-colonization? No idea, but you’re a racist if you don’t get it.

And for satan’s sake don’t grow that garden in the wrong spot! The kids receive an “indigenous map” showing where the white people shouldn’t be. Kids are told to learn their “land acknowledgment” first before they do anything else.

Luckily, kids are given Antifa tips in a copyrighted, easy-to-read graphic novel featuring a “helpful neighborhood anti-fascist” sharing how to counteract tear gas and how to tell the difference between smoke grenades and CS gas.

Kids are taught that police departments should be abolished.
