Edmonton’s Jamie Salé became world-renowned when she won Olympic Gold as a figure skater in 2002.

Today she’s earning a reputation as a woman speaking out for freedom who’s highly sceptical of mainstream media, especially its narrative around COVID.

She’s now partnering on a project with hockey legend Theo Fleury, and freedom advocates Tamara Lich and Joseph Bourgault. They’re teaming up to start something called Canadians for Truth, Freedom and Justice.

One of their goals is to set up a broadcast studio in Calgary for independent journalists.

I sat down with Jamie recently, who told me about her new life and the price she’s paid for having views that don’t fit the mainstream narrative.

Already days before the July 22 European "Doomsday" when the scheduled Russian 10-day maintenance of the crucial Nord Stream pipeline to Germany is slated to end - but which was thrown into deep doubt given Gazprom recently said it can no longer guarantee its "good functioning" due to crucial turbines being previously held up in Canada related to sanctions - the Russian energy giant has declared Force Majeure to one major European customer.

Simply put, Gazprom declared extraordinary and extreme circumstances to void itself from all contractual obligations to this customer, thus the gas will stop flowing indefinitely, as Reuters reports in a breaking development Monday, "Russian gas export monopoly Gazprom has declared force majeure on gas supplies to Europe to at least one major customer starting June 14, according to the letter seen by Reuters." The letter is dated July 14. What has already been a year from hell for Germany, which is suffering energy hyperinflation as a result of Europe's sanctions on Russia, and which is "facing the biggest crisis the country has every had" according to the president of the German employers association, is about to get even worse as the declining water level of the Rhine river, which has historically been a key infrastructure transit artery across Germany, continues to fall and as it does, the flow of commodities to inland Europe is starting to buckle threatening to make an already historic crisis even worse.

The alarming lack of water is contributing to oil product supply problems in Switzerland and preventing at least two power plants in Germany from getting all the coal they need, and what’s more, the continent’s sizzling summer temperatures are forecast to climb even higher in the coming week, leading to even lower water levels.

The 800-mile (1,288-kilometer) Rhine river runs from Switzerland all the way to the North Sea and is used to transport tens of millions of tons of commodities through inland Europe. But with water levels at their lowest for the time of year in 15 years, there is a limit how much fuel, coal and other vital cargo that barges can carry up and down the river.

Low water levels on the Rhine River mean that barges hauling middle distillate-type oil products - typically gasoil/diesel - past Kaub in Germany, are limited to loading about 30% of capacity, according to maritime brokerage services firm Riverlake. Continue…

Freedom Convoy Protester Pat King to Be Released on Bail

Pat King, a prominent figure during the Freedom Convoy protest this winter, has been granted bail and will be released after spending 150 days in jail.

The decision, delivered on July 18 by Superior Court Justice Anne London-Weinstein, comes after a two-day bail review for King last week in an Ottawa court. The proceedings were placed under a publication ban.

King will be released later today and is ordered to leave Ottawa within 24 hours to return home to Alberta, where he is required to live with a surety.

His bail conditions ban him from using social media and from taking part in activities related to the convoy. King is also prohibited from contacting convoy organizers including Chris Barber, Benjamin Dichter, Tamara Lich, and Tom Marazzo unless in the presence of legal counsel.

He is also expected to adhere to a curfew between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

He has waited for several months in jail to hear whether he would be released on bail since he last appeared in court in April. His bail review came to an abrupt halt after his lawyer’s computer was allegedly hacked.

A day after the April hearing, the Crown announced new charges against King, with three counts each of perjury and obstruction of justice. These charges were in addition to 10 charges related to his involvement in the three-week-long protest in Ottawa, which includes mischief, intimidation, obstructing police, and disobeying a court order.

The Freedom Convoy started in late January, initially to protest the federal government’s mandatory COVID-19 vaccine mandate imposed on all cross-border truck drivers. The protests soon turned into a national movement with many joining in to call for an end to other pandemic-related restrictions.

The convoy ended after the Liberal government invoked the Emergencies Act on Feb. 14 and police cleared the demonstration in an escalated operation over a few days.

King, who was arrested on Feb. 18, has since remained in the Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre.

Despite being a visible figure, King isn’t one of the Freedom Convoy organizers, according to a lawyer from the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms, which represents several of the convoy leaders.

The interaction between an 86-year-old man in a wheelchair who did not use ArriveCan to enter the country and a presumed Canadian government official has been caught on a now-viral video.

The fully vaccinated and double-boosted elderly man and his daughter can be seen arguing with the official about the mandatory use of the ArriveCan app, as the man doesn’t own a cellphone.

The video was apparently shot by the man’s daughter and posted online on July 16.

The official is heard asking the daughter why she’s not putting her father under her account, since she used the ArrieCan app to register her own arrival. Continue…

As the federal government tries to redefine 'fully vaccinated', a new poll from Angus Reid found that just under 60% of Canadians who received their first or second COVID jab are not interested in taking another.

As the government grapples with redefining what it considers fully vaccinated, a new study shows Canadians have a waning interest in taking more COVID vaccines.

While Canadians rank among the highest in world for vaccine uptake, new data from Angus Reid shows a growing disinterest in future shots, particularly from those who have received one or two shots.

Only 17% of respondents with one or two doses say they are willing to take another injection, Angus Reid found; a further 60% said they had no desire for any additional COVID vaccines.

Pointing to the need for a booster every nine months, Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos said earlier in July that the idea of “fully vaccinated” needed to be replaced with “up to date,” Rebel News reported.

“Nine months is very clear and will help people understand why ‘up to date’ is the right way to think about vaccination now,” Duclos said. “‘Fully vaccinated’ makes no sense now. It’s about ‘up to date.’”

In a recent TikTok video, the World Economic Forum (WEF) suggested using a “raft” of “space bubbles” about “the size of Brazil” to reflect the Sun’s rays away from Earth.

“MIT scientists say ‘space bubbles’ could help reverse climate change by reflecting the Sun’s heat away from Earth,” the video begins. “Scientists say cutting out just 1.8% of the Sun’s rays would fully reverse global warming.”

The WEF cautions its young audience, though, assuring them this is future tech and that the “task of decarbonizing life on Earth” is no less urgent an issue.

“The bubbles would be manufactured in space by robots. They would form a ‘raft’ about the size of Brazil. This would be placed at a Lagrange point,” the WEF continues. “That is, a point in space where the Sun and Earth’s gravity balance each other out. This would keep the raft fixed in position.”

“This kind of large-scale physical solution to climate change is called geoengineering,” the WEF explains.

“Several such ideas have been proposed, from spraying aerosols into the upper atmosphere to churning up tiny bubbles on the ocean’s surface, all with the aim of reflecting solar radiation back into space.”

The WEF adds that the MIT researchers say it “might be too risky,” though, and have “unintended consequences for the biosphere.”

Everyone’s favourite pandemic expert Bill Gates has also recommended playing God and blotting out the Sun in the past, positing the aforementioned polluting our atmosphere with chemical aerosols option.

Indeed, Bill Gates ran 300 stratospheric balloon tests in 2019 to see if it was possible to launch devices capable of spraying sun-reflecting particles into the stratosphere, which alarmed many opposed to geoengineering, to say the least.

Besides the obvious concerns over destroying ecosystems around the world, many were critical merely of undertaking the tests, saying that it could only lead to the real implementation of such a plan.

“There is no merit in this test except to enable the next step. You can’t test the trigger of a bomb and say, ‘This can’t possibly do any harm,’” said WhatNext director Nicklas Hällström.

CBC admits that natural immunity is essential

The CBC has finally admitted that getting COVID and gaining natural immunity is essential in preventing severe outcomes from COVID in the future.

“It’s clear that reinfections from this coronavirus are the norm, much like with those behind the common cold. Unfortunately, that also means early speculation about one-and-done bouts of COVID-19 offering immunity against future infections has long gone out the window,” writes the CBC in an article.

While it’s true that many have gotten reinfected with COVID, a study has found that those who received the Moderna vaccine are more likely to be reinfected, possibly indefinitely, due to the vaccine lacking crucial antibodies.

This study, and others like it, is not addressed in the CBC’s article, nor is any data made available regarding the proportion of vaccinated versus unvaccinated individuals getting repeatedly infected.

Still, the CBC continues, conceding that handling COVID reinfections gets easier due to “repeat training” after being infected (i.e., gaining natural or hybrid immunity) — not from the vaccine specifically. However, they say it somehow provides extra protection despite this protection waning.

“Reassuringly, scientists say that for most healthy adults — including those with extra protection from vaccination — COVID-19 infections should get easier to deal with as your immune system gains repeat training on how to handle this particular pathogen,” the CBC continues. Continue…
