A jug of water and a surprising small amount of high explosive and you can breach a wall substantially more robust than one of those pillars.

 

Mechanically speaking a long, flat, thin, brittle (granite) material is prone to snapping and shattering in the center.

 

Start this video at around 6:17 and see what happens to reinforced concrete supported on all four sides when a small charge is countered with just a few gallons of water. The wall in the video is far more blast resistant by design than a freestanding wafer of granite.

They're Finns…their normal body temperature is below zero. It's OK. We would almost die. They wore clothes for YouTube, otherwise they'd be in their birthday suits. Every year they cut holes in the ice to go swimming. It breaks my mind. Ubermensch.
