Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf vetoes bill to bar biological males from female school sports, thanks President Biden 'for prioritizing the health and safety of women and birthing people'

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf, a Democrat, has vetoed a bill to block biological males from participating in female athletics.

Wolf rejected House Bill 972, which would have required that the sports teams of public education institutions be designated for the male sex, the female sex, or for both sexes — the measure would have prohibited allowing males to play on teams designated for females. In addition to applying to public education institutions, the requirements would also have applied to any institutions that have teams that compete against public education institutions.

"I have been crystal clear during my time in office that hate has no place in Pennsylvania, especially discrimination against already marginalized youth representing less than half of 1 percent of Pennsylvania’s population," Wolf said, according to a press release. "The fact that this bill passed through Pennsylvania’s Republican-led General Assembly solely to bully and oppress vulnerable children is atrocious. These members should be ashamed of themselves for proposing and voting on policies that are discriminatory, unnecessary, and incredibly harmful."

The issue of whether to allow biological males to who identify as women to compete in sports designated for females remains an area of raging debate around the country.

But while many Americans reject radical leftist gender ideology, Wolf is appears to be completely on board with the reality-defying movement.

In addition to torpedoing the common-sense legislation to protect girls' and women's school sports on Friday, Wolf also thanked President Joe Biden "for prioritizing the health and safety of women and birthing people."

Activist Group Paying Tipsters For Locations Of Conservative SCOTUS Justices To Harass Them In Public

This week a public protest of Justice Brett Kavanaugh at a Morton’s Steakhouse in DC made news, the harassment by protestors sent Kavanaugh through the rear exit, and it appears this behavior will continue.

ShutDownDC announced on Friday, following the Kavanaugh incident, that organizers would pay anyone who could tip protesters off to the locations of the conservative Supreme Court justices. According to the call for tips, the price increases if they were still on site 30 minutes later.

“DC Service Industry Workers… If you see Kavanaugh, Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, Coney Barrett or Roberts DM us with the details! We’ll Venmo you $50 for a confirmed sighting and $200 if they’re still there 30 mins after your message,” @ShutDown_DC’s tweet read.

The group highlighted Kavanaugh’s disrupted dinner, sharing reports that noted, “Justice Brett Kavanaugh had to exit through the rear of Morton’s on Wednesday night after DC protestors showed up out front.”

The group shared Daniel Lippman’s report from Politico in their call for more harassment and protest of the Justices.

During a press conference on Friday, when White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about it, she said it was a “right.”

When asked whether Biden and his administration had any issues with protesters continuing to harass the conservative justices outside their homes or in public, she said, “People should be allowed to be able to do that. If it’s outside of a restaurant, if it’s peaceful, for sure.”

Judge orders Texas to halt abuse probes into 2 families with transgender kids

A Texas judge is prohibiting the state’s Department of Family and Protective Services from pursuing child abuse investigations into two families with transgender children.

Travis County District Court Judge Jan Soifer granted a temporary injunction on Friday, halting investigations into two families who allow or help their trans children receive gender-affirming care, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Soifer’s ruling applies only to the plaintiffs, as the judge didn’t rule on whether an injunction could be implemented to freeze all child abuse investigations launched on families who allow their children to receive gender-affirming care.

The judge is overseeing legal proceedings in a lawsuit filed by the LGBTQ advocacy group PFLAG, which seeks a temporary restraining order and permanent injunction against the state investigations ordered by Gov. Greg Abbott.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is expected to appeal Soifer’s decision.

“We are gratified that the Court reiterated that the DFPS rule is unlawful and changed the status quo for Texas transgender youth and their families,” said a statement released by attorneys for families who are suing the governor and other state officials.

“The Court recognized yet again that being subjected to an unlawful and unwarranted investigation causes irreparable harm for these families.”

Texas judges have issued similar rulings to halt probes on a case-by-case basis.

Meghan Markle Promotes Pro-Abortion Necklace Sales Benefiting Planned Parenthood

Prince Harry’s wife Meghan Markle is reported to have approved the design of a necklace glorifying abortion and sales of the jewelry that will benefit the nation’s leading abortion mill, Planned Parenthood.

Markle’s move is part of a trend of celebrities reacting to the U.S. Supreme Court reversing Roe v. Wade by supporting causes to ensure unborn children continue to be aborted.

The necklace, featuring the Venus female symbol — which looks like an inverted cross — and a clenched fist, cost about $150.

PageSix magazine praised the Duchess of Sussex and the necklace, encouraged women to “show off your inner goddess” and “support women’s health care.”

Nicaragua Authorizes Entry of Russian Troops on Its Territory

The Daniel Ortega-Rosario Murillo regime has authorized Russian personnel, ships, and aircraft to enter Nicaragua from July 1 to December 31, 2022. The Russian troops will participate in humanitarian aid, military exercises, and operations against illicit activities on the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean, the June 7 decree in the official Gazette indicated.

“The region has reason to feel threatened. Nicaragua bought offensive as opposed to defensive armament from the Russians. The 80 tanks that it acquired are perfectly suited for armed entry into any of the capitals of Central America,” former opposition lawmaker, lawyer, and political analyst Eliseo Núñez told Diálogo. “The Russians in Nicaragua, with conventional and technological military capabilities, are a danger to the region. We already see what is happening in Costa Rica with hackers blocking the internet […], who coincidentally are from Russia.”

The decree includes the entry of 80 Russian military personnel, on a rotating basis, to participate in “experience exchanges and conduct training in humanitarian aid operations” with the Nicaraguan Army’s Special Operations Command. Moreover, 50 additional troops will take part in security training, and another 50 Russian service members will exchange experiences “in tasks to confront and combat narcotrafficking and transnational organized crime,” the decree states.

Security and defense experts stressed that Russia has no experience in combating organized crime and narcotrafficking operating in Latin America, despite managing an intelligence architecture through the Glonass Satellite Monitoring System station and the Police Training Center, both in Managua. “And if it has it, it doesn’t know how to manage it because they’re not here like U.S. agencies are,” Roberto Cajina, Nicaraguan security and defense expert, and former advisor to the Ministry of Defense, told Diálogo. “[…] They don’t have real information about how the cartels work and what the routes are.”

According to some security experts, the authorization for the entry of Russian troops in Nicaragua is not related to humanitarian purposes, as the decree indicates, but to espionage and intelligence gathering.

“I believe that Russian troops will be used for intelligence purposes, to gather intelligence in the region,” John Feeley, former U.S. ambassador to Panama, told Nicaraguan TV show Esta Semana. “If Russian soldiers come to Nicaragua to carry out humanitarian activities, I invite the Nicaraguan people and any observers to look at what Russian soldiers are doing in Ukraine.”

“Nicaragua invited Russian forces to conduct exercises, even if they are humanitarian, at a time when that country is invading a neighbor and committing human rights violations in Ukraine. We find it provocative on the part of the Nicaraguan regime and dangerous for our hemisphere,” U.S. State Department Under Secretary for Hemispheric Affairs Brian Nichols told German broadcaster DW. “Obviously, we have to use the levers and tools in our power to express our disagreement with their actions.”

Former Nicaraguan Ambassador to the Organization of American States (OAS) Arturo McFields, who resigned from his position in March after criticizing the Ortega-Murillo regime, agreed. “Unlike [U.S.] Southern Command that brings humanitarian aid, hospital ships, medicines, surgeries, and free quality services to those who need them most, Russian cooperation promotes espionage, collective repression techniques, torture, armored tanks, [and] not so secret bases,” McFields said via Twitter.

Juan González, senior director for the Western Hemisphere at the U.S. National Security Council, warned of repercussions in the region not only at the diplomatic, but also at the commercial level.

“There is a consensus here that Nicaragua is going in a direction that worries everyone in the hemisphere, no matter what political spectrum the governments are on […]; we are now looking quite forcefully at their presence in the Central American Free Trade Agreement,” González told Voice of America on June 14, at the close of the 9th Summit of the Americas. “We have broad authorities in national security to impose restrictions on any country for national security issues. The invitation of outside armies, especially one that has invaded another country, that is something that should be of concern to everybody.”

The only question is what they intend to replace it with.

Clearly they want to streamline the economy. This means eliminating small producers and small retailers. The covid lockdowns got rid of a great number of small businesses, clearing the way for global corporations to expand into those nooks and crannies.

Farmers are small producers.

Like the Canadian truckers, they are freelance workers and therefore a hazard to the system, because they can act independently of “the power” and even outright oppose it.

In the future to come, they might be replaced by workers who maintain farmland owned and operated by global corporations – workers who have no autonomy and can easily be replaced if they defy “policy” in even the tiniest way.

Or, maybe “they” don’t intend to replace the production of food as we know it, and instead want to do exactly what they’ve been signaling: force us to eat bugs and synthetic meat.

Bill Gates paid $600m and redesigned the economy of an entire country. Of course he isn’t operating alone. Of course he is acting in concert with other powers (the WEF, the WHO, etc.). But we have to accept that the billionaire oligarch is not an absurd archetype of fiction, but an absurd archetype of the real world.

There comes a point when you also have to accept that 2020 was not a chaotic accident, but deliberate, orchestrated theatre.

Hunter Biden Has Come Under Federal Surveillance: ‘Threat To National Security’

Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, has come under the scrutiny of federal surveillance for some of his activity with communist China figures, a report claimed.

“US counterintelligence officials tell me Hunter Biden has come under federal surveillance amid growing concerns his partnerships with CCP-tied figures–notably Che Feng, aka ‘Super Chairman’–could ‘compromise’ the president or help Beijing gather US intel thru Hunter,” reporter Paul Sperry said.

“US counterespionage officials investigating alleged contacts between Hunter Biden and members of CFIUS during Chinese takeover of US firm making automotive parts w/ dual-use technologies. CFIUS approved the sensitive 2015 deal, which had national security implications,” he said.

It comes as news broke that Biden sold close to one million barrels of oil from the United States’ strategic reserve to a Chinese company linked to a Hunter Biden firm, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

The Biden administration sold roughly one million barrels from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to a Chinese state-controlled gas giant that continues to purchase Russian oil, a move the Energy Department said would “support American consumers” and combat “Putin’s price hike.”

Biden’s Energy Department in April announced the sale of 950,000 Strategic Petroleum Reserve barrels to Unipec, the trading arm of the China Petrochemical Corporation. That company, which is commonly known as Sinopec, is wholly owned by the Chinese government. The Biden administration claimed the move would “address the pain Americans are feeling at the pump” and “help lower energy costs.” More than five million barrels of oil released from the U.S. emergency reserves, however, were sent overseas last month, according to a Wednesday Reuters report. At least one shipment of American crude went to China, the report said.

Parents sue TikTok after 7 kids die from profitable Blackout Challenge videos

Parents say TikTok failed to act after the first reported death.

After the first child died from self-strangulation while attempting a recommended "Blackout Challenge," there were many steps that TikTok could have taken to shield other kids from the same fate immediately. Instead, a new lawsuit filed in California says TikTok chose to continue profiting from promoting what's now being described as its deadliest challenge, directly causing the deaths of six more children in 2021.

The lawsuit was filed by the parents of two of those children—girls ages 8 and 9. They claim their kids became addicted to TikTok, were fed a constant stream of seemingly harmless challenge videos persuading them to participate, and then died after attempting the Blackout Challenge. (The Blackout Challenge encourages TikTok users to post videos where they choke themselves until they pass out.)

Rather than blame creators of harmful videos or come after TikTok for publishing videos, the lawsuit instead seeks damages from TikTok for its product design, which directs kids to videos.

In a statement, the parents' legal team at the Social Media Victims Law Center (SMVLC) summarized the lengthy complaint: "The suit alleges that TikTok's defective design of its social media product results in an addictive product that is not safe for users and fails to warn minors and their parents that TikTok is addictive and pushes harmful content onto their 'For You' page that could endanger their wellbeing."

TikTok did not immediately respond to Ars' request for comment, but a TikTok spokesperson told The New York Times that "the company would not comment on continuing litigation." The spokesperson also linked to a prior company statement to People magazine about a 10-year-old girl who also died after attempting the Blackout Challenge. At that time, TikTok said that the "disturbing challenge" predated their platform and had never become "a TikTok trend." Expressing "deepest sympathies" to the family affected in that case, TikTok vowed to "remain vigilant in our commitment to user safety" and "immediately remove related content if found."

The lawsuit tells a different story, pointing out that "the 'Blackout Challenge' currently cannot be found on TikTok's social media product," which proves that the videos could have been removed after TikTok learned of the first death. Instead, the company chose not to take that or any earlier action to limit child exposure to the challenge, even though "the cost of incorporating age and identity verification into TikTok's product would be negligible."

The U.S. will do anything to defend Israel

"Haaretz" —-Imagine the unimaginable: Ilana Dayan (or Yonit Levi) [both are Israeli journalists & TV presenters] goes out of her comfort zone in order to report on the occupation. She is caught in an exchange of fire and a bullet hits her in the neck, in the area between her helmet and her ballistic vest. She dies. What happens then? Israel very quickly captures the Palestinian “cell.” It doesn’t matter who fired, it’s entirely insignificant, all of its members are killed or sentenced to life in prison. Israel mourns the loss of its veteran journalist.

No one even considers forensic tests: There’s no need for them. It’s clear to everyone who killed the journalist. The United States doesn’t think to interfere with the investigation, only to censure the Palestinians and participate in the grief of the Jewish nation, and perhaps also to impose sanctions on the Palestinian Authority over the journalist’s murder. It is obvious to all that the Israeli journalist was killed because she was Jewish and because she was a journalist. Her murderers – that’s what they’ll be called, of course – intended to murder her. Every Israeli child will understand this.

But Shireen Abu Akleh was a Palestinian war correspondent, infinitely more courageous and determined than Dayan and Levi put together, and she was killed in Jenin. Israel washed its hands of any responsibility, as usual. Washed its hands and obfuscated. All of the investigations that have been published so far into the circumstances of her killing led to a single conclusion: The Israel Defense Forces shot her. But Israel continued to obfuscate.

And then came the forensic analysis, carried out in the presence of a U.S. military officer. And this is the result: The U.S. Department of State, which is concerned about the safety of civilians and is particularly shocked by harm caused to journalists, as proved in the Jamal Khashoggi case, announced that while it is impossible to determine with certainty who killed Abu Akleh, the gunfire likely came from IDF positions. And the punch line: “The [U.S. Security Coordinator] found no reason to believe that [the gunfire] was intentional but rather the result of tragic circumstances.” The damaged bullet that was removed from Abu Akleh’s head whispered to the United States that the shooter didn’t mean to kill her. It was the most elaborate ballistic test in history: a test that examines innermost thoughts, that discerns intentions.

It’s difficult to imagine a more clumsy, unprofessional, ridiculous and even insulting mobilization in the service of Israeli propaganda. Once again it has been proven that America is willing to do anything, absolutely anything, to protect its precious darling; to conceal all its crimes, to make itself an object of ridicule, to disregard moral, legal and professional standards – all to cover up for Israel. America is telling Israel: Keep on killing journalists, as far as we’re concerned it’s fine. We will always say you didn’t mean to, that tragic circumstances killed Abu Akleh and not soldiers in the Duvdevan counter-terrorism unit.

Americans also don’t watch CNN. The network’s investigation disclosed that three or four additional bullet holes can be seen on the tree Abu Akleh was standing against when she was hit – bullets that were fired individually, not in a burst. Does this also indicate that there was no intention to kill the journalist, who took cover under the tree?

Could it be that it’s possible to mute, obscure and deceive so much for the sole purpose of making President Joe Biden’s upcoming visit to Israel more pleasant? Does the U.S. consider covering up for a crime an expression of friendship toward its perpetrator?

“Who killed Norma Jean?” Pete Seeger asked in the wonderful song he composed of Norman Rosten’s poem. “Who saw her die / I, said the Night, and a bedroom light, we saw her die. … Who’ll bear the pall? / We, said the Press, in pain and distress, / We’ll bear the pall. / Who’ll soon forget? / I, said the Page, beginning to fade, / I’ll be the first to forget.”

Abu Akleh is dead, and with her the last remnants of trusting the United States to tell the truth about its ally. Thanks to it, Israel can continue to claim that we’ll never know who killed Shireen. But it seems that we know very well who killed her. He walks among us now.

America is telling Israel: Keep on killing journalists, as far as we’re concerned it’s fine. We will always say you didn’t mean to.

The Normalization of Perversion

Many years ago I wrote that the normalization and legitimization of the first sexual perversion would set the precedent and all others would follow.

And they have. At any moment I expect an entrepreneur to open a bestiality brothel.

Normalization begins with a name change. Queers became gays. Minor-attracted-person (MAP) is the new name for a pedophile. The name change softens the historical disgust associated with pedophilia. Just as homosexuals transitioned from abnormality requiring treatment, pedophiles are undergoing the same transformation. Deviance becomes simply a sexual preference, and all are legitimate.

Age of consent laws are under attack as a form of age discrimination which denies those arbitrarily defined as under age the freedom to consent to sexual relations with adults. The argument is made that normalizing pedophilia protects children by making consent possible and thereby replacing assault with consent.

As advocates of normalizing sexual perversions see it, all sexual desires are good when fulfilled. It is their suppression that is bad and does harm.

Considering the extraordinary collapse of the Western world into degeneracy, it can’t be long before we elect a MAP for president.

A total of 787,968 Clalit Health Services adult members were included in the study between March 2020 and January 2021. Out of that total, 196,992 adults were found to be infected with the COVID-19 virus (16,632 adults with previous vaccination were excluded from the group).

The control cohort of 590,976 adults with no Covid were age- and sex-matched, according to the study (5 adults with previous vaccination were excluded from the group).

Biden Admin Drops $1.5 Million on ‘Transgender Programming’ for Inmates

The Biden administration spent nearly $1.5 million to produce a "transgender programming curriculum" for inmates held in the nation's 122 federal prisons.

The Justice Department disbursed the funds for a consulting firm to develop a program to help transgender inmates "manage identity concerns during incarceration" and advocate for their "sexual health and safety," according to a government summary of the contract. The contract also asks the firm to develop a program to help transgender inmates access hormone treatment after they are released.

There are only about 1,200 transgender individuals serving sentences in federal prisons, according to a 2021 Department of Justice estimate, meaning the Biden administration spent roughly $1,250 per transgender prisoner. That is more than the $1,200 checks Americans received during the first round of COVID-19 stimulus payments.

The Justice Department's $1,496,500 contract is part of President Joe Biden's larger, controversial effort to promote transgenderism—even among minors. The Justice Department in March sent a letter to all state attorneys general warning them against restricting transgender hormone treatment for children. That same month, Biden's State Department announced it would allow individuals to select "X" as their gender when completing passport applications. The administration also released updated guidelines in January that make it easier for transgender inmates to be placed in facilities that match their "gender identity."

Following a district court ruling last month, a convicted terrorist is set to become the first transgender inmate to receive federally funded sex-reassignment surgery, the Washington Free Beacon reported. The American Civil Liberties Union, a Biden administration ally, waged the successful legal battle on behalf of Cristina Iglesias, who in 2005 mailed fake anthrax to British government office buildings.

The Biden administration's push for transgender accommodations in federal prisons comes amid a spike in sexual assaults committed by biologically male inmates in women's prisons. Female prisoners have sued state governments, citing sexual assault concerns, in an attempt to keep male-to-female transgender inmates in men's prisons.

The funds were first disbursed in 2021 to Nevada-based consulting firm Change Companies, and the contract runs through September of this year. The firm, which creates educational materials for correctional facilities, did not respond to a request for comment.

The Justice Department told the Free Beacon it "recognizes the importance of appropriate gender-affirming management and treatment of transgender individuals in its custody." The department did not respond to a request for comment on whether any of the programs have been implemented in federal prisons.

Justice Department officials recommended that the firm draw on research from left-wing advocacy groups, such as the National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE), to guide its work. The NCTE dubbed former president Donald Trump's White House the "Discrimination Administration" and supports Democrats' Equality Act, which would prohibit discrimination on the basis of "gender identity." The organization also launched a politically oriented "action fund" in 2017, which has exclusively endorsed Democratic candidates.

The Justice Department programs appear to align with the agency's most recent guidelines on transgender prisoners. The guidelines, released earlier this year, prohibit prison staff from referring to inmates by biologically accurate pronouns if they identify as transgender. The document defines gender as "a construct" based on "social identity, psychological identity, and human behavior."

Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra warned that there's a "strong chance we'll see a resurgence" of COVID-19 and new variants in the fall.

Becerra was asked if he foresees needing additional stimulus funds from Congress to respond to the pandemic.

"We're going to do everything we can with the resources we have, and we'll let Congress know what we can do with the resources we have," Becerra told Just the News during an interview at the White House after the Medal of Freedom ceremony. "At the end of the day we need fuel. If we don't get more fuel, we'll take this vessel as far as we can when it comes to vaccination and the rest.

"What I will tell you is that come the fall and winter, most everyone who is an expert on pandemics and these viruses will tell you the strong chance that we'll see a resurgence of the virus, whether it's the variants that we have now or new variants."

Becerra was asked if the Office of Refugee Resettlement within HHS is overwhelmed by the record number of migrants flooding the U.S.-Mexico border this year.

"As you can see from the reports, we're not seeing children die in federal government custody, we're not seeing children suffer further trauma and stress because they don't have an adult guardian with them," he said. "We do everything we can to treat them as what they are: children. We've been fortunate to have a great team that's worked very hard to make it possible for us to provide them with the care and dignity that we would want to see any child have."

Just the News asked Becerra how HHS is able to find out if any unaccompanied minors without documentation have a criminal history before they get placed with a sponsor within the U.S.

He is the chairman of the board of directors of the Friends of the Simon Wiesenthal Center Canada and, in addition to his own generosity, is known as a crack fundraiser for Jewish causes.

“I’m forever asking people for money, and I’m surprised people still talk to me,” he says jokingly. “I’m surprised that people don’t run across the street when they see me. In the end, though, I’m not asking for me – I’m asking for the institution.”

Fred attributes his extensive participation in charitable activities to his competitive nature.

“I just went for it because I’m highly competitive,” he says. “Jews aren’t athletes, so they may as well use their heads. Literally, all my business has been leveraged for the betterment of our community and the State of Israel.”

He adds that he has learned that one cannot take anything for granted in this life. “Life can change so quickly, and we need to appreciate what we have.”

Former president Barack Obama is tapping as the head of his charity’s "Girls Opportunity Alliance" a disgraced Democratic operative and "women's rights" activist who helped former governor Andrew Cuomo (D., N.Y.) smear his sexual harassment victims.

Tina Tchen, a former chief of staff to Michelle Obama, will serve as the Obama Foundation’s chief strategy and impact officer, the charity said. The appointment comes months after Tchen resigned in disgrace from the feminist group Time’s Up for helping Cuomo during his sex scandal. Tchen reportedly advised Cuomo’s team on an op-ed that would discredit one of his accusers, Lindsey Boylan, and demanded Time’s Up staffers "stand down" from issuing statements in support of Boylan. Tchen intervened in a similar manner to protect Joe Biden against sexual assault allegations during the 2020 presidential campaign.

Tchen’s involvement in those scandals makes her a questionable pick to lead the Obama Foundation’s efforts to "empower adolescent girls around the world." Valerie Jarrett, the foundation’s CEO and a longtime Obama crony, called Tchen an "accomplished lawyer" and "advocate for gender equality."

"The Obama Foundation claims she’ll be fighting for women, but a lot of women in Andrew Cuomo’s office know that’s unlikely," said Scott Walter, president of Capital Research Center. "Tchen’s career shows she fights for political friends and against political enemies, regardless of sex."

Tchen is the latest controversial hire for the Obama Foundation. Former Minneapolis council member Phillipe Cunningham, a supporter of the movement to defund police, joined the foundation last month as deputy director for "global leadership programs."

5 arrested on child internet sex charges

The police department participated in an undercover chat operation June 24-25 that resulted in the arrests of five people, according to a statement released by the agency.

Nine other local and state agencies were involved, the Rupert Police Department said.

Chase Quinton, 24, of Ogden, Utah; William Snyder, 40, of Pocatello; Joel Ramirez, 65, of West Valley, Utah; and Richard Castro, 28, of Hazelton were arrested in Rupert on charges of child enticement or attempted production of child exploitation.

John McCrill, 31, of Twin Falls was arrested July 1 for enticement of a child resulting from the operation in June.

“The operation’s focus was to identify and arrest individuals targeting minor children over the internet for purposes of sexual abuse,” Rupert Police Sgt. Sam Kuoha said.

The chat started prior to the operation as individuals contacted an undercover officer’s profile on social media sites and asked about illegal activity.

5 arrested in Polk County on child porn charges

Polk County detectives announced Friday they arrested five people on hundreds of combined child phonography charges at the end of June.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said they arrested Jerry Wilson, 59, of Mulberry, Christopher Montalvo, 26, of Lakeland, Shane Dugan, 21, of Lakeland, Demian Veliz, 55, of Davenport and Bryant Whatley, 19, of Lake Alfred.

The arrests were made after PCSO said they got tips from the National Center for Missing and Endangered Children about suspects possibly transmitting or downloading harmful images.

Deputies said they found child porn on each of the suspects’ devices after serving search warrants at each of their homes. Some images were of children as young as six months old being sexually battered, according to PCSO.

“Through our partnership with NCMEC and concerned citizens who saw something and said something, we are able to take criminals who engage in the child pornography trade off the street,” Polk County Grady Judd said. “Those who buy, sell, trade, and download child sex abuse images support lead to further child abuse and create more child victims. Please, if you see something while you are online or on mobile apps, say something. Contact your local law enforcement agency or go to NCMEC’s CyberTipline at https://report.cybertip.org/ to report suspicious online activity.”

Detectives said Wilson was actively downloading child pornography when they served a search warrant on his home. He faces 330 counts of enhanced possession of child pornography. He also allegedly told detectives he’d been watching child pornography his whole life.

He was taken to the Polk County Jail on July 1 and is being held on a $4.9 million bond.

Montalvo faces 120 counts of enhanced possession of child pornography and one count promoting a sexual performance by a child. He was taken to the Polk County Jail on June 27 on a $1.2 million bond.

Dugan faces 10 possession of child pornography charges. Veliz was charged with seven counts of possession of child pornography and one count promoting a sexual performance by a child. Whatley faces possession of child pornography and promoting a sexual performance by a child charges.

Detectives said none of the images found appear to be of Polk County children and they are working to identify them.

More charges could be filed if more images are found. The investigation is ongoing.

New Orleans, LA – Operation North Star, a nation-wide U.S. Marshals Service operation focused on violent crime reduction, was conducted in 10 cities (Chicago, Washington D.C., New York City, Memphis, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Houston, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, and Baltimore) over a 30-day period, spanning the month of June. Nationwide there were over 1400 arrests (to include 230 for Homicide), and 160 plus firearms seized. In the New Orleans metro area, there were 164 arrests while closing 180 warrants for violent offenses: 25 of the arrests for Homicide, 22 for Armed Robbery, 4 Sexual Assaults, and 35 Aggravated Assaults. 46 firearms were seized in the New Orleans metro, along with narcotics and $36,200 in cash. The success of the operation is due to the critical partnerships between local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies who participated. The USMS provided additional funding to local and state law enforcement agencies to be able to work additional hours.

On June 08, 2022, Cornell Johnson was arrested on a New Orleans Police Department warrant for two counts of Attempted Second Degree Murder, Illegal Use of a Weapon, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. The warrant is related to a March 17, 2022, incident during which Johnson is alleged to have fired a handgun into the vehicle of the victim. He was located at a residence in the 6000 block of Urquhart Street and arrested after a brief barricade during which the New Orleans Police Department SWAT/SOD team was deployed as he refused to exit the residence. After two hours he finally surrendered, and an additional Resisting Arrest charge was added at booking.

On June 15, 2022, Tajuan Montrell and a 17-year-old male were arrested for Homicide. The suspects were allegedly involved in a shooting in May 2022 at a gas station on Crowder Blvd.in New Orleans. At the time of the shooting the gas station was occupied by multiple customers, including children. Over 25 rounds were fired. Based on a search warrant the alleged murder weapon was located and seized.

On June 22, 2022, Brian Jacob, 21 years old, and Malik Fernandez, 23 years old, arrested for Federal Firearms Violations based on an ATF investigation. The federal warrant stems from a shootout in December of 2020, at a Canal Street/French Quarter area hotel. Over 80 rounds were exchanged in this gun battle. A search warrant executed post arrest resulted in $6,000 cash and three firearms seized with one being reported stolen out of New Orleans and illegally modified. The shooting is believed to have resulted from an attempted armed robbery during a narcotics transaction.

Former students say military veterans who led J.R.O.T.C. classes in U.S. high schools fashioned themselves as mentors, then used their power to manipulate and abuse.

PICAYUNE, Miss. — With the rifle skills she honed in the Mississippi backwoods, Victoria Bauer had a path to escape the trap of drugs and dead-end jobs she saw most everywhere around her. Her future was in the Marines, she decided, and she had an idea about how to get there.

Across the way from her freshman algebra class, Ms. Bauer approached Steve Hardin, the retired Navy intelligence officer who guided the high school’s Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, a leadership program sponsored by the U.S. military at high schools across the country. He welcomed her into the fold, she said, and seemed interested in how her family, which traced roots back to the Four Winds Cherokee of Louisiana, had been displaced by Hurricane Katrina.

Soon, her 45-year-old J.R.O.T.C. instructor was messaging her on Snapchat late into the night, telling her that it would “drive the guys crazy” if she wore a “small bikini” during the trip to their next out-of-state shooting competition. Then one night in 2015 as he drove her home from rifle practice, she told investigators, Mr. Hardin pushed his hand into her pants and penetrated her with his fingers — the start of what she said was months of sexual assaults. Ms. Bauer, who was 15 at the time, feared that resisting him would jeopardize her shot at advancement through the J.R.O.T.C. ranks or a military career.

“I gave all the body-language signals that I didn’t want it,” Ms. Bauer said in an interview. “I didn’t feel like I had a choice.”

The reason why Pfizer’s Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) “vaccine” was declared to be “safe and effective” by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is because Pfizer lied about the outcomes of its clinical trials.

CureVac is suing BioNTech for stealing mRNA vaccine technology. After trying to create its own COVID-19 vaccine, CureVac is bringing four patent infringement claims against fellow German mRNA pioneer BioNTech.

CureVac is still vying for market share a year after its COVID-19 vaccine contender had a high-profile failure.

On Monday, the business said that it is suing fellow German mRNA pioneer BioNTech for violating its intellectual property by creating the COVID shot Comirnaty in collaboration with Pfizer.

The manufacturing, marketing, or distribution of BioNTech’s wildly successful vaccine will not be hampered by an injunction, according to CureVac. There has been widespread rain across parts of the state in what the Bureau of Meteorology describes as abnormal conditions for this time of year.

One of Australia’s largest fruit and vegetable growers, Cross Family Farms, is recording major losses from beans to tomatoes in Bundaberg.

“A lot of our beans have all died because of the wet weather, so that’s probably our most impacted. Those and the snow peas,” said farmer Trevor Cross.

“Zucchini plants are in the ground, but they don’t like the rain. The harvest drags out a lot because it’s too cold for them to grow.

“You’ll see a lot of cracking in the tomatoes, as well as leaf disease.”

Mr Cross warned supply would be affected in the coming weeks and months, and prices will rise.

“In general, anything that’s out in the elements is going to have issues,” he said.

The ambitious program is being dubbed the next phase in London's support to Ukraine, at a tumultuous moment that Boris Johnson is on his way out, having resigned his post as prime minister. It's well-known that Britain alongside the US had already trained thousands of Ukrainian troops over prior years going back to 2014 and the start of the Donbas conflict.

Defence Secretary Ben Wallace announced, "Using the world-class expertise of the British army we will help Ukraine to rebuild its forces and scale up its resistance as they defend their country’s sovereignty and their right to choose their own future."

One detail which underscores the huge and unprecedented extent of the program is just how many UK military troops, many of them special forces, it will take to oversee the training of Ukrainians. This after the UK already poured £2.3bn in aid to Ukraine's defense forces since the start of the war.

"About 1,050 British service personnel are being deployed to run the programme, which will take place at four undisclosed MoD sites across the north-west, south-west and south-east of the UK," The Guardian discloses.
