Facebook Was Just CAUGHT RED HANDED – Faces Lawsuit for Sharing User ‘Deleted Messages’

A former Facebook employee is suing Meta Platforms for “whistleblower retaliation” after he was fired for raising concerns about the tech giant sharing users’ deleted messages with law enforcement.

Brennan Lawson, a former content screener at Facebook’s Senior Risk & Response Escalations division, filed a lawsuit on Tuesday claiming “Facebook manager Ashley McHugh introduced a new tool to the Escalation team” during a staff meeting. The system enabled the company to utilize its “access to deleted user data.”

The new tool which the company allegedly began employing in late 2018 allowed the Escalation team to circumvent “rules put in place to block Facebook employees from accessing deleted messages.”

“Law enforcement would ask questions about the suspect’s use of the platform, such as who the suspect was messaging, when messages were sent, and even what those messages contained,” the lawsuit states. “To keep Facebook in the good graces of the government, the Escalations Team would utilize the back-end protocol to provide answers for the law enforcement agency and then determine how much to share.”

Contrary to its stated policy, Facebook is able to access “anyone’s Messenger history, including children within Messenger for Kids,” the suit alleges.

Lawson, an Air Force veteran, is suing Meta Platforms Inc. for more than $3 million for punitive damages. He claims he became “immediately concerned with the legality” of the new protocol that violates a 2012 Federal Trade Commission order barring Facebook from misrepresenting its access users’ personal information.

Calling attention to the abuse of users private data resulted in Lawson receiving a poor performance review that he maintains was unreasonable.

He was ultimately terminated on July 10, 2019 for ‘alleged improper use of one of Facebook’s user admin tools a few months earlier.” Facebook claims Lawson let go because he did adhere to company policy when reinstating his grandmother’s account that was previously hacked.

Meta denies breaching users’ privacy.

“These claims are without merit and we will defend ourselves against them rigorously,” a Meta spokesperson contends.

Now An Outbreak Of The Marburg Virus Has Begun

Why are so many unusual outbreaks of disease suddenly happening all over the planet? We were already dealing with a seemingly endless global pandemic coming into 2022, and so far this year a bird flu pandemic has resulted in the deaths of tens of millions of our chickens and turkeys, the worst monkeypox outbreak in history has spread like wildfire in the western world, and now it is being reported that there is an outbreak of the Marburg Virus in Africa. We have already lost our opportunity to contain monkeypox, and that is really bad news. But if authorities are not able to successfully contain this new Marburg outbreak, we could potentially be facing a scenario that is downright apocalyptic.

The new outbreak of the Marburg Virus is happening in Ghana. The two victims that have died so far did not know each other, and officials believe that this is evidence that “the disease is spreading more widely”…

Two people are believed to have died from the extremely deadly Marburg virus in Ghana as officials gear up for a potential outbreak.

The patients, from the country’s southern Ashanti region, were not known to each other, suggesting the disease is spreading more widely.

Initial tests came back positive for the virus and the samples are being reanalysed by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Global health authorities have always warned that the Marburg virus is a good candidate for a horrifying global pandemic because it can have a very long incubation period. The following information comes from the World Health Organization…

The incubation period (interval from infection to onset of symptoms) varies from 2 to 21 days.

Illness caused by Marburg virus begins abruptly, with high fever, severe headache and severe malaise. Muscle aches and pains are a common feature. Severe watery diarrhoea, abdominal pain and cramping, nausea and vomiting can begin on the third day. Diarrhoea can persist for a week. The appearance of patients at this phase has been described as showing “ghost-like” drawn features, deep-set eyes, expressionless faces, and extreme lethargy.

All of that sounds terrible, but the next stage of the disease is truly nightmarish…
