Why would you like to see it go in the other direction? The bible is not the literal word of God. Jesus is the Living Word of God. The bible is a collection of scripture, and it's not complete. The bible is also not all literal. Jesus Himself said all these things are done in parable. He taught in parables and asked "if you do not understand this parable how will you understand any of the parables?" because the secret to scripture is it's full of them,

An example would be the tower of babel. It's not literal. It's about creating a hierarchy.
