CDC Director Walensky Urges Older Americans to Get Second Booster Shot “Right Away”

CDC Director Rochelle Walensky on Tuesday urged older Americans to get their second Covid booster shots “right away.”

“Many Americans are under vaccinated, meaning they are not up to date on their Covid-19 vaccines. Not all people over the age of 50 have received their first booster dose…” she said.

Walensky said only 28% of Americans over the age of 50 who have received their first booster dose have received their second booster dose.

Of those over the age of 65, only 34% have received their second booster dose.

“So my message right now is very simple: It is essential that these Americans … get their second booster shot right away,” Walensky said.

Starbucks Closing 16 Stores In Major Cities Due To 'Increasing Threats' From Bathroom Drug Dens

Four weeks ago, Starbucks CEO Howard Schutz told the NY Times that the company was assessing increasing threats to public safety over it's "all inclusive" 2018 bathroom policy that encouraged homeless people and drug addicts to make copious use.

Now, the company is now shuttering 16 locations in major cities over incidents related to drug use and 'other disruptions' in its cafes, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The company on Monday announced that it would be permanently closing six stores each in Seattle and Los Angeles, as well as two in Portland, OR, and single locations in Philadelphia and Washington DC by the end of the month.

The move comes after workers reported incidents involving drug use by customers and members of the public - which, logically, comes after the company's 2018 virtue signaling campaign which eventually included the installation of needle deposit boxes at various locations after employees signed a petition demanding the company do more to protect them.

Biden’s War Machine Is Sending Another $1.7 Billion To Ukraine

The Biden administration is announcing another $1.7 billion in aid to Ukraine, bringing the total taxpayer money spent on the proxy war more than $65 billion since the Russia invaded the European nation.

The additional aid was announced on Tuesday and is partially sponsored by the U.S. Agency of International Development (USAID).

A statement from USAID says, “This additional funding will provide emergency food and cash assistance, safe drinking water, accessible shelter, logistical support, humanitarian coordination and protection, emergency health care, including mental health care and support for survivors of gender-based violence. This funding is in addition to USAID’s support for activities aimed specifically at alleviating shelter concerns during the coming winter months.”

It goes on to state, “The provision of cash will offset increased heating costs through the purchase of fuel for electricity, materials for light renovations (insulation), and the distribution of thermal blankets and winter clothes and shoes, especially for children and the elderly.”

To date, USAID has given the Ukrainian government $4 billion in budgetary support. The organization said these funds have been used to keep gas and electricity flowing to hospitals and schools, get humanitarian supplies to citizens, and pay the salaries of civil servants and teachers.

USAID Administrator Samantha Power said that as Putin’s “assault on Ukraine’s public services continues, the United States is rushing in with financial support to help the government keep the lights on, provide essential services to innocent citizens and pay the health care workers who are providing lifesaving support on the frontlines.”

The continuous delivery of ongoing aid packages is in addition to the initial $54 billion in aid Congress approved at the beginning of the war.

Biden has continued to state this habitual spending on Ukraine will continue indefinitely. “We are going to support Ukraine as long as it takes,” Joe Biden said recently at a press conference during the NATO summit in Madrid.

Last week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for $750 billion to aid in the reconstruction of Ukraine. He said the rebuilding is the “common task of the entire democratic world.”

“The reconstruction of Ukraine is not a local project, is not a project of one nation, but a common task of the entire democratic world — all countries, all countries who can say they are civilized,” Zelenskyy said.

It is unknown how much more American taxpayer dollars will go to Ukraine as the war continues.

Soft-On-Crime New York Releases Drug Cartel Runners One Day After Being Caught With $1.2M In Meth

Two men allegedly tied to the Mexican Cartels were arrested last week in New York City after being caught with approximately $1.2 million of crystal meth but were released just one day later due to soft-on-crime policies.

Luis Estrada and Carlos Santos allegedly drove a van from California to New York with about 165 pounds of crystal meth that authorities believe originated from Mexico.

However, the suspects were released on supervised release one day later because the two could only be charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Meth is not classified as a narcotic based on outdated drug laws in the state.

As a result, the charge does not qualify for bail according to New York’s soft-on-crime 2019 bail-reform measures. The measures, which continued to spark debate, were intended to reduce jail populations and the number of interactions required by authorities. However, they have allowed criminals to continue to operate with fewer consequences in a city plagued by rising crime.

“This is a serious problem,” Bridget Brennan, New York City Special Narcotics Prosecutor, told the New York Post. “The failure to include methamphetamine crimes among bail-eligible offenses was probably an oversight.”

“At the time the bail laws were changed, New York City was not a distribution hub for methamphetamine. Now it is, and we are unable to even ask for bail, even if we arrest someone with no ties to the city and a load worth millions of dollars,” Brennan said.

Under current New York State law, neither man could be charged with a bail-eligible offense, according to the authorities.

“Methamphetamine is categorized as a controlled substance, but not a narcotic drug. Regardless of the amount of methamphetamine involved, and regardless of a defendant’s lack of connections to New York State, under current law judges may not set bail on cases involving the possession of only methamphetamine,” officials said in a statement.

“This seizure is a calculated treachery by Mexican Cartels to flood the United States with their poison and expand their customer base while driving addiction and increasing profit margins,” said Frank A. Tarentino III, of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) New York Division.

The seizure and ongoing struggle to control meth in New York City is a constant concern for officials. In a recent report released by the New York State Department of Health, deaths involving methamphetamines spiked from 0.3 per 100,000 residents in 2016 to 1.7 per 100,000 in 2020.

Ukraine frees warlord sentenced for torture – media

The leader of the notorious Tornado volunteer battalion has reportedly been released

Ruslan Onishchenko, former commander of the notorious Ukrainian Tornado battalion, whose fighters were convicted of torturing people in Donbass, has reportedly been released from jail and may join the fight against Russia.

Ukraine began selectively releasing inmates who want to serve on the frontline shortly after Moscow attacked the neighboring state in late February.

The now-disbanded Tornado unit was formed in 2014 to fight for Kiev during the conflict in Donbass. Despite the unit’s designation as a volunteer police battalion, former felons were allowed to become members. Onishchenko had three prior convictions before joining the unit.

In 2017, a Kiev court sentenced Onishchenko to 11 years in prison for kidnapping and torture. Several of his fellow fighters also received jail sentences for kidnapping, torture, rape, and looting.

On Monday, Roksolana Khmara, the wife of former MP Stepan Khmara, wrote on Facebook that Onishchenko was released under the guarantees of her and her husband.

Khmara posted a photo of Onishchenko in a Kiev courtroom, while claiming his sentence had been politically motivated.

Confidence In US Media, Government, & Justice-System Collapsing

Americans’ confidence in major U.S. institutions - including government and the media - is in a state of collapse, falling to an average of just 27 percent across all categories, according to the latest national poll released by the Gallup Organization.

Only the military and small businesses still enjoy the confidence of a majority of Americans.

Although public belief in institutions has been weak for most of the past 15 years, the 27 percent average for all categories is the lowest recorded by Gallup.

The company began measuring confidence in institutions in 1973 and has done so each year since 1993.

The survey figures came after Gallup delivered sobering news on June 22. At that time the company said confidence in the overall direction of the country fell to 13 percent that month, down 3 percentage points from May and 9 points since March when the figure was 24 percent.

It also reported at that time that despite ongoing economic malaise, President Joe Biden’s job approval rating held steady at 41 percent between May and June.

Gallup’s finding on the issue was called into question by the Civiqs Poll’s daily tracking survey of registered voters which found Biden’s approval rating has sunk to a new record low of just 30 percent, the New York Post reported July 9.

University Of Delaware Continues Fight To Shield Biden Documents From Public Review

After a setback before the Delaware Supreme Court, the University of Delaware is continuing its dogged effort to prevent the public from seeing the senatorial papers of President Joe Biden. The continued litigation, at public cost, has been criticized as an effort to shield President Biden from potentially embarrassing material from being accessed by the media or public interest groups. For a research institution, it is a curious role to prevent access to documents but clearly a role supported by President Biden and his family. What is particularly troubling is the reason being claimed by the university.

We have previously discussed these documents and their potential significance to inquiries ranging from sexual harassment complaints to foreign dealings. The university insists that, so long as it does not use public funds for the maintenance of the Biden documents, it is immune from the Freedom of Information Act. By using private funds, it is arguing that it can keep the material locked away from public review.

A Superior Court decision held that the papers were not subject to FOIA based on dismissive and clearly inadequate filings by the university. The Delaware Supreme Court has now sent the matter back to the lower court for additional review. It has held that the university must still show that it is immune from public disclosure laws and must potentially conduct searches of its records requested by Judicial Watch and the Daily Caller News Foundation.

The Supreme Court specifically found the earlier representations of Jennifer M. Becnel-Guzzo, Esq., University FOIA Coordinator to be insufficient to carry the burden under the law. It also noted that it was not made under oath. Accordingly, Delaware Superior Court Judge Mary Johnston ordered the university to submit evidence that archives Biden gave the school in 2012 are not subject to a public records request and consequently public access.

Delaware’s Freedom of Information Act states that “’Public body,’ ‘public record’ and ‘meeting’ shall not include activities of the University of Delaware and Delaware State University, except that the Board of Trustees of both universities shall be ‘public bodies,’ university documents relating to the expenditure of public funds shall be “public records.”

A review of Becnel-Guzzo statement shows why the Supreme Court was concerned about the lower court just accepting the vague statement on its face. It included such representations as:

In recent years, I have responded to numerous FOIA requests having to do with the University’s relationship to Joseph R. Biden, Jr. Thus, on several occasions I have inquired of University personnel, including the University’s budget office and the University’s library, whether State funds have been spent on a variety of matters or undertakings related to Mr. Biden. In no case have I found that State funds were spent by the University on any such matter or undertaking…

Finally, I inquired whether state funds have been spent on the University’s email system over which email communications between University personnel and any representative of Mr. Biden might have been exchanged. They were not.

Biden Falsely Claims US Troops Aren't Engaged In Combat In The Middle East

The president made the claim in an op-ed on his upcoming trip to the region

President Biden penned an op-ed about his upcoming trip to the Middle East that was published in The Washington Post on Saturday, where he falsely claimed that US troops are not engaged in combat missions in the region.

The president wrote: “Next week, I will be the first president to visit the Middle East since 9/11 without US troops engaged in a combat mission there.”

Biden’s claim came not long after he updated Congress on the deployment of US combat troops. In a letter to Congress dated June 8, the president said US troops were stationed in Iraq, Syria, and Yemen.

In Yemen, Biden said that a “small number of United States military personnel are deployed to Yemen to conduct operations against al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and ISIS.” He also mentioned that US forces were providing support to the Saudi-led coalition in a “non-combat role” by providing “military advice and limited information.”

In Iraq and Syria, Biden said US troops are “working by, with, and through local partners to conduct operations against” ISIS and al-Qaeda. At the end of 2021, the US formally ended its combat mission in Iraq, but all 2,500 troops that were stationed there stayed, and US operations on the ground didn’t really change.

In Syria, the US maintains an occupation force of about 1,000 troops and keeps a good portion of the eastern part of the country out of the hands of Damascus with the help of local Kurdish groups. While it’s easy to downplay the US role in Iraq, US troops in Syria are more often engaged in combat.

On June 16, US troops carried out a raid in northwestern Syria and captured a top ISIS leader, according to the US-led anti-ISIS coalition, known as Operation Inherent Resolve. US raids in northwest Syria are risky as they are far from US military bases in the eastern part of the country.

The US also continues to launch drone strikes in Syria against al-Qaeda affiliates in northwest Syria. According to US Central Command, a US drone strike killed a leader of al-Qaeda offshoot Hurras al-Din in Syria’s Idlib province.

Earlier in the year, the US was involved in a major ground battle between the Kurdish-led SDF and ISIS in northeastern Syria. Back in January, ISIS launched a major attack to gain control of a prison, and US ground troops helped Kurdish forces take it back.

Biden will be traveling to the Middle East from July 13-16, and he will visit Israel, the West Bank, and Saudi Arabia. A major aspect of his trip is pushing Israel-Saudi normalization and military cooperation against Iran. Biden said in the op-ed that he will be the first president to fly from Israel to Saudi Arabia and called the move “a small symbol of the budding relations and steps toward normalization between Israel and the Arab world.”

Twitter Accuses Elon Musk of ‘Knowingly’ Breaching $44 Billion Deal

Twitter has accused Elon Musk of “knowingly” breaching their contract for his purchase of the social media platform after he filed to pull out of the $44 billion deal.

This comes days after the Tesla CEO on July 8 filed to exit the deal with Twitter over concerns about its spam bots, claiming Twitter breached their agreement.

In a letter to Musk on Sunday and filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Monday, Twitter demanded that Musk follow through on the deal.

Twitter called Musk’s termination of the deal “invalid and wrongful,” while denying the social media company breached its obligations under their contract.

“Twitter has not suffered and is not likely to suffer a Company Material Adverse Effect,” the letter reads.

Twitter also said that Musk’s termination of the deal is “invalid” because he “intentionally, willfully, and materially breached the Agreement, including but not limited to Sections 6.3, 6.8, and 6.10 thereof.”

The company said it would take steps to hold Musk to the deal after the world’s richest man said on July 8 in documents filed with the SEC that Twitter had not complied with its contractual obligations.

“While Section 6.4 of the Merger Agreement requires Twitter to provide Mr. Musk and his advisers all data and information that Mr. Musk requests ‘for any reasonable business purpose related to the consummation of the transaction,’ Twitter has not complied with its contractual obligations,” the SEC filing reads.

“For nearly two months, Mr. Musk has sought the data and information necessary to ‘make an independent assessment of the prevalence of fake or spam accounts on Twitter’s platform.’”

But Twitter denied this, saying that it had and would continue “to provide information reasonably requested by Mr. Musk under the Agreement and to diligently take all measures required to close the transaction.”

Twitter officials have said that bot accounts only comprise around 5 percent of the company’s accounts. However, Musk has sought data to verify this claim, saying that it may materially change the company’s value if the number were many times higher.

Musk Mocks Move

Musk appeared to mock Twitter’s move on Monday by posting an image meme on the platform.

The meme shows Musk in four image frames beside four blocks of text. With each frame, the image of Musk changes from joy to outright laughter.

The text reads, “They said I couldn’t buy Twitter. Then they wouldn’t disclose bot info. Now they want to force me to buy Twitter in court. Now they have to disclose bot info in court.”

FOIA Documents Expose Nearly 2 Dozen Secret Wars Waged With Your Tax Dollars

The US has reportedly used a secretive authority called ‘127e’ to launch at least two dozen proxy wars since 2017, according to an article published on Friday by The Intercept. The outlet claims to have obtained never-before-seen documents and spoken to top officials with intimate knowledge of these programs.

The Intercept received the documents through the Freedom of Information Act, claiming these papers are the first ever official confirmation that at least 14 so-called ‘127e programs’ were active in the greater Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions as recently as 2020. In total, the Pentagon reportedly launched 23 separate 127e programs across the globe between 2017 and 2020, which cost US taxpayers $310 million.

The Intercept explains that 127e is one of several virtually unknown authorities granted to the Department of Defense by Congress over the last two decades. It authorizes US commandos to conduct “counterterrorism operations” in cooperation with foreign and irregular partner forces around the world with minimal outside oversight.

The program allows the US to arm, train, and provide intelligence to foreign forces. However, unlike traditional foreign assistance programs, which focus on building up local capacity in partner countries, 127e “surrogate forces” are expected to follow US orders and conduct Washington-directed missions against US enemies to achieve American goals, essentially serving as the Pentagon’s proxy armies.

According to the outlet, almost no information about these operations is ever shared with any members of Congress or State Department officials. It is generally unknown where these operations are conducted, their frequency, targets, or even the identity of the foreign forces the US cooperates with to carry them out.

Critics of the programs warn that they could lead to unanticipated military escalation and engage the US in over a dozen conflicts around the world, since 127e does not allow for any oversight or input from foreign affairs officials.

The outlet notes that although the latest batch of documents sheds more light on the 127e program, it still remains mostly unknown to both the public and members of Congress, who almost never receive any reports pertaining to the program.

A government official familiar with the program, who requested anonymity to discuss it, told The Intercept that most congressional staffers don’t even have the clearance to view 127e reports, and those who do rarely ask for them.

“It was designed to prevent oversight,” he explained.

Stephen Semler, a co-founder of a US foreign policy think tank, told The Intercept that the Pentagon prefers to run its operations with minimal oversight, input or bureaucracy from Congress and has done so for many years. “The Special Operations community likes autonomy a lot,” he explained to the outlet, adding that “the problem is this stuff is so normalized.”

“There should be more attention paid to these train-and-equip authorities, whether it’s special forces or [Department of Defense] regular, because it’s really kind of a PR-friendly way to sell endless war,” Semler concluded.

Stew Peters Show: Orders for Child-Size Coffins Spike More Than 500% in Last Seven Months

A casket salesman blew the whistle on the massive spike in post-COVID jab child mortality on The Stew Peters Show

A man with close personal and family ties to the casket manufacturing industry is reporting a massive spike in orders for child-size coffins that coincides with the roll-out of COVID vaccines for children and huge death spikes in kids and other population groups alike. The man tells The Stew Peters Show that the historically large children’s casket orders are being sold to funeral homes all over the country in preparation for even more children’s services.

After an initial tweet went viral documenting the “large number” of children that funeral directors have reported burying “within a few months of the kiddie jab,” casket salesman Mick Haddock responded, describing the massive spike in orders for child-size caskets experienced by his family’s manufacturing business. The post-COVID vaccine spike, he says, is the first time in his family’s 30-plus years of business that they’ve sold children’s coffins in bulk.

“My family business is casket manufacturing in North America. We received 2 bulk orders for sub-5-foot units (children size) in less than 6 months,” Haddock Tweeted in response to the initial post. “Never in 30+ years of business have we ever sold child size coffins in bulk.”

After blowing the whistle on the massive spike in children’s coffin orders, Haddock joined The Stew Peters Show to go into further detail, revealing that his family’s business deals with major distribution companies all over the US and Canada, including Costco. The products are then sold to retailers and to funeral homes all over North America.

“The smaller size orders have never been so popular,” Haddock told Stew Peters of the massive spike in children’s orders, adding that sales of adult caskets have spiked big time since 2020 as well. “I would like to mention that all casket sales are up dramatically in the last two years,” Haddock said on The Stew Peters Show.

“Call it what you will, magic or the vaccine, but something has happened that is causing an unprecedented amount of deaths,” Haddock went on to say.

“Magic is demonic and satanic and that’s everything that we’re seeing happening right now,” Peters responded. “So yes, it is magic. But it’s also intentional magic. It’s my opinion that this is an intentional plot to kill people and now specifically kids. It’s an intentional plot to make women infertile and men sterile and affect generations and generations in the future – just like they know that this mRNA technology detrimentally affected rat colonies for four generations.”

“What we’re seeing here are intended consequences,” Peters concluded of the massive post-vaccine death wave.

“We are definitely seeing an uptick in youth passing, it is undeniable at this point,” Haddock stressed to Peters and his viewers, adding again that he’s seen adult deaths skyrocket alongside the deaths of children.

Putting into perspective just how massive an uptick in children’s coffin orders his family business has experienced, Haddock told Peters that the orders have risen upwards of 500% in the past seven months.

“We went through an average of say, 50, 60 [child-size caskets] a year. The last order was 200 and the next order after that was 250. We’ve now basically sold 5 years’ worth of stock in 7 months,” Haddock told Stew Peters.

Biden Administration Is Withholding Hunter Biden Documents, Oversight Republican Says

Ranking Member of the House Oversight Committee Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) sent a letter to U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen last week alleging that the federal agency is withholding documents that detail the foreign transactions conducted by the president’s son, Hunter Biden.

Hunter has been the focus of controversy for his foreign business dealings, especially how his father may have been involved. He is currently under investigation by the Department of Justice.

Rep. Comer has called on the Treasury Department to provide suspicious activity reports and other documentation “regarding Hunter Biden and other Biden associates and family members’ suspicious foreign business transactions flagged by U.S. banks” but says he has not received them.

“The Biden Administration is restricting Congress’ access to SARs, and Committee Republicans are investigating whether this change in longstanding policy is motivated by efforts to shield Hunter Biden and potentially President Biden from scrutiny,” Rep. Comer wrote in his letter, not his first to the agency on this issue. “Though the Committee requested documents and information ‘no later than June 8, 2022,’ the Department of the Treasury has provided no documents or information.”

Hunter Biden attended a ceremony in the East Room of the White House for Medal of Freedom recipients Thursday.

Rep. Comer argued that the Treasury has publicly boasted of its transparency, making this refusal worse.

“According to the Wall Street Journal, the Biden Administration claimed, ‘Treasury has made SARs available for every request we’ve received, regardless of party, and will continue to do so,’” he wrote. “This is not true. During a phone call on June 13, 2022, Treasury officials informed Committee Republican staff that they will not provide SARs to Committee Republicans unless Democrats join the request. It is troubling that the Biden Administration is willing to provide a false story to the media to create the appearance of transparency while continuing to thwart congressional oversight.

“The American people deserve to know whether the President’s connections to his son’s business deals occurred at the expense of the United States’ interests and whether they represent a national security threat,” he added.

The Treasury Department and the White House did not respond to a request for comment in time for publication.

Inspector General: ‘DHS Could Do More to Address Threats of Domestic Terrorism’

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) “could do more to address the threats of domestic terrorism,” the Office of Inspector General (OIG) concluded in a newly published report. The findings come after DHS has acknowledged that at least 50 people on the terrorist watch list have entered the United States illegally through the southern border since President Joe Biden has been in office.

The OIG found that DHS doesn’t have “staff dedicated to long term oversight and coordination of its efforts to combat domestic terrorism” and unless it puts in place “a cohesive long-term approach,” the agency charged with preventing terrorism “may not be able to proactively prevent and protect the Nation from this evolving threat.”

The 29-page report was sent to Robert Silvers, the Undersecretary for Strategy, Policy, and Plans at DHS, from Inspector General Joseph Cuffari. It includes six recommendations to improve DHS’ efforts to prevent and reduce terrorism from occurring in the United States, with which DHS concurred.

After the terrorist attacks of 9/11, Congress passed the Homeland Security Act of 2002, which was signed into law by former president George W. Bush. DHS was charged with one overarching primary purpose: to prevent terrorist attacks from occurring in the United States. The OIG conducted the audit “to determine the extent to which DHS is positioned to prevent and reduce domestic terrorism in the United States” and found that it doesn’t appear to be well positioned to do so.

It found that DHS has only completed less than 30 percent of the actions first proposed in 2019 under the Trump administration. In 2019, the administration created a Strategic Framework for Countering Terrorism and Targeted Violence including establishing goals and milestones to achieve them. But since then, more than 70 percent of the milestone hadn’t been completed, the audit found.

“This occurred because the Department has not established a governance body with staff dedicated to long term oversight and coordination of its efforts to combat domestic terrorism,” the report states.

DHS also doesn’t compile national-level statistics on terrorism, the report found.

The OIG identified key areas of improvement to determine how DHS identifies domestic terrorism threats, how it tracks trends for future risk-based planning, and how it informs partners and the public about domestic terrorism.

It found that DHS “has limited access to the sources of information it needs to identify domestic terrorism threats” and that it “could do more to compile, maintain, and track domestic terrorism information for future planning.”

The OIG found ongoing problems with interagency sharing of data, a contributing factor leading up to the 9/11 attacks when various federal agencies failed to share data that some argue could have prevented the attacks. Consolidating federal agency efforts into DHS, in theory, was supposed to have led to greater sharing of information, the Bush administration argued when creating the agency.

French President Emmanuel Macron ‘Secretly’ Pressured Government to Aid Transport Company Uber

French President Emmanuel Macron is alleged to have “secretly” worked to make arrangements beneficial to big tech transport firm Uber, reports have claimed.

During his time as Economic Minister, current French President Emmanuel Macron is said to have “secretly” worked with Silicon Valley giant Uber to get better deals for the company within France, multiple reports from a variety of news outlets have claimed.

The apparent revelation is part of an exposé in Uber’s dealings in Europe and beyond, with execs in the company allegedly being found to have secretly courted important government interests while putting pressure on others, up to and including sitting U.S. President Joe Biden.

According to documents seen by The Guardian, Le Monde, the BBC and the Washington Post, now-President Macron worked closely with senior management in the country to better the company’s standing in France during his tenure as economy minister between 2014 and 2016.

So close was the relationship that Macron even brokered a secret deal with the then-sitting Socialist in government which would see Uber cease some of its operations in the country in exchange for laxer rules for other elements of their business.

District votes to keep pornographic book available for children

Salem Keizer school district in Oregon has been in hot water after parents discovered that a pornographic book, Gender Queer, was available in the school library. The school formed a special committee, headed by a woman named Suzanne West, to determine if the book should be removed. West’s job description reads: “Crafting and developing strategies that support the district’s movement to become a more anti-racist and anti-oppressive school system.”

The committee voted last week to keep the book, which we’ll get into. But first, take a look at some of the explicit content found in Gender Queer:

It’s no surprise that parents have been outraged at the committee’s decision to keep this pornographic book available for their children. We obtained a copy of an email Suzanne West sent to one concerned parent. The email provided official statements from committee members regarding their decision and they are so unbelievably insane, you have to read them yourself:

“The book will be necessary to keep in schools, to help be more inclusive and allow all students from the LGBTQ+ community to have a resource to refer to. In addition, the pages taken out of context do not represent the intention of the book and only served as an illustration to help provide understanding of what the author was trying to portray in their book.”

“The book expands on sexual orientation and gender identity which are both topics touched on in wellness.”

“It being a graphic novel makes the book more accessible to a variety of readers.”

The book “has won a large number of teen-specific literary awards and is an ‘Own Voices’ text for a marginalized community. Inclusion in the library of the three high schools meets the district's goal for more inclusive and diverse materials.”

“This graphic novel is very well done from a literary standpoint. It is an excellent example of a memoir, it includes many visual metaphors, it promotes literacy and accessibility through the graphic format, and it has modern language suitable to our students today.”

A “well written/illustrated text; important insight regarding gender identity.”

“We think kids need to read about vibrators, blowjobs, masturbation, and chest binders for ultimate inclusion and a show of diversity,” is what the statement should’ve read. Instead, they mask the graphic nature of the book under the veil of “inclusivity” and accuse concerned parents of taking the book out of context. In what context is a photo of someone receiving oral sex okay to show children?

The Gender Queer book hasn’t just upset parents in Oregon, however. Alarmed parents across the nation have shown up to local school board meetings to try to have the book removed. One school board even cut a mother off while she read the book, ironically saying it was too “obscene” for a school board meeting:

Poland nervous about leak of plans of dismembering Ukraine — Russian intelligence chief

"Poland hoped that when the conflict in Ukraine reaches a phase of diplomatic settlement, the sides will have to recognize ‘Poland’s expansion’ as an accomplished fact," Sergey Naryshkin pointed out

Poland is seeking to conceal its expansion to Western Ukraine and is taking nervously the leak of its plans of dismembering Ukraine, director of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service Sergey Naryshkin said on Tuesday.

"Information coming to the Service indicates a nervous reaction of Poland’s leadership to the fact that its plans of dismembering Ukraine have come in the public eye," the Service’s press bureau quoted him as saying.

In his words, Warsaw obviously hoped that amid the tough geopolitical standoff neither Kiev nor Washington no Moscow would notice its preparations for seizing Ukrainian territories. "Poland hoped that when the conflict in Ukraine reaches a phase of diplomatic settlement, the sides will have to recognize ‘Poland’s expansion’ as an accomplished fact. Now, following the leak of sensible information the Polish leadership has to quiet concerns of its NATO and EU ‘friends,’" Naryshkin said.

Now, Warsaw hopes to correct the situation by means of wide propaganda. Think tanks and the mass media controlled by the government have been instructed to stage a media campaign to disguise Poland’s actions toward strengthening its positions in Ukraine and refute "rumors." According to the information of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, it is planned to focus on creating an image of "collective participation" of all Ukraine’s neighbors in Kiev’s affairs. For these ends, Warsaw plans to cooperate more closely on the Ukrainian problem with Hungary and Romania to hide behind them in order to implement its plans.

"Warsaw seems not to see that its "secret" ambitions and complexes have been a source of taunting and irritation for its ‘patrons’ for years. By the way, the unclassified documents of the Foreign Intelligence Service have an articulate characteristic given by British Foreign Secretary John Simon back in 1935, who said that the Polish government’s childish policy of prestige was hindering peacebuilding in Europe and suited neither its political, nor financial, nor military position," the press bureau added.

Israel’s NSO Group said to lobby unsuccessfully for removal from US blacklist

Lawyers and PR firms hired by embattled spyware company reportedly approached senators and members of Congress and are urging discussion of issue in Lapid-Biden meeting this week

Israel’s NSO Group, creator of the notorious Pegasus spyware, is reportedly leading a widescale lobbying campaign to get off the United States government’s blacklist.

According to a new report in ProPublica — produced in conjunction with Israeli independent nonprofit news organization Shomrim — the efforts by NSO have so far been unsuccessful, and the company has failed get a response or set up a meeting between NSO officials and US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan.

The report said NSO “has invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in the past year in payments to lobbyists, public relations companies and law firms,” citing “public records filed under the Foreign Agent Registration Act and conversations with people familiar with the effort.”

The firms have, in turn, “approached members of the US House and Senate, as well as various media outlets and think tanks across the US, on NSO’s behalf.” In phone calls and letters to members of Congress, those lobbying on behalf of NSO have claimed that the company’s “customers are solely law enforcement and intelligence agencies, and by far are mainly democratic allies of the US and Israel in Western Europe.”

NSO has also reportedly tried to get the issue on the agenda for this week’s meeting between Prime Minister Yair Lapid and US President Joe Biden in Jerusalem.

The Israeli company was placed on a US Commerce Department blacklist in November 2021 following a string of allegations and accusations that its Pegasus spyware was used around the world to target activists, journalists and politicians. The software can switch on a phone’s camera or microphone and harvest its data without the phone user ever being aware that they are under surveillance.

Now Church of England won't say what a 'woman' is either

Leading bishop says it is no longer a "self-evident" term

The Church of England has become the latest institution to decline to define "woman" amid a growing push from the transgender community and others that believe a woman is any individual who defines themselves as such.

Speaking at the General Synod, which is the church's general assembly, Senior Bishop Rt Rev Robert Innes said that, while the term used to be "self-evident," recent cultural developments have made it such that "additional care" is now needed in attempting to define what a woman is.

"There is no official definition, which reflects the fact that until fairly recently definitions of this kind were thought to be self-evident, as reflected in the marriage liturgy," Innes said, according to GB News. But it no longer is so straightforward.

Innes's remarks came after a layperson asked: "What is the Church of England's definition of a woman?"

In a sign of how divisive the issue has become, GB News personality Calvin Robinson said that defining the term should not be a difficult matter. "The definition of 'woman' is not a complex moral problem. It is a scientific and biblical truth. How can you trust someone who cannot speak the truth about such basic facts?"

The Church of England, whose supreme governor is Queen Elizabeth II, joins a growing list of institutions that have declined to define "woman," including the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Justice in the United States.
