Bumping this post. I realize there are a lot of issues with 8k right now, but it looks like the last notable saved by qresear.ch was 2 days ago:

The JSON interface is critical to proper research if we're going to use this board…

That may be a correct response, but it doesn't appear to be working. Using that referer string still returns 403 Forbidden:
