Trump shreds Jan. 6 Committee for trying to divert incoming GOP victories: ‘are you listening America?’
President Donald Trump shredded the “Unselect Committee of Political Hacks and Thugs” in a blistering statement shared to Truth Social on Sunday.
The Jan. 6 Committee, Trump said, “is yet another Radical Left Democrat Scam used to Criminalize Politics and try, against all hope, to change what will be totally disastrous results in the 2022 and 2024 Elections.”
The president continued, “They should not be allowed to get away with it any longer! Are you listening Republicans, are you listening America?”
The Jan. 6 Committee has been relentlessly investigating the media-labeled “insurrection” at the United States Capitol in 2021. The committee is comprised of highly partisan Democrats, as well as two “RINOs,” Reps. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., and Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill.
Trump additionally demanded to know why the Jan. 6 Committee has refused to investigate the fact that “Crazy Nancy Pelosi rejected my strong recommendation, through the Secretary of Defense and others, of 10,000+ troops for Capitol Protection, three days before January 6th?”
A June Capitol Police memo confirmed that the Trump Pentagon did indeed recommend sending National Guard troops to the U.S. Capitol ahead of Jan. 6.
“By her lack of action, did she [Pelosi] incite the doings of January 6th?” Trump continued. “Was she, in fact, hoping for a Real Insurrection (one where they actually brought guns) thinking it would be a wonderful thing for her and her sick political ambitions?”
He added that the Jan. 6 Committee should be “immediately terminated unless and until they are able to answer this overriding question – why did Crazy Nancy not act?”
Additionally, Trump pointed out that Rep. Zoe Lofgren, D-Calif., who sits on the Jan. 6 Committee panel, failed to call forward witnesses to corroborate the wild testimony of Cassidy Hutchinson.
Hutchinson previously testified that Trump attempted to take control of a presidential SUV on Jan. 6, 2021. However, her testimony was swiftly debunked by Secret Service Bobby Engel and the presidential limo and SUV driver, both of whom were reportedly ready and willing to testify to counter Hutchinson’s over-the-top claims.
“Things and statements could be easily proven,” Trump went on, “but they don’t want proof, because there is none, so they didn’t ask Witnesses for corroboration.”

A group of Republican lawmakers is demanding the Committee on Oversight and Reform investigate the “extremely troubling” election fraud allegations made in the documentary “2000 Mules.”
“The film documents activities that raise serious questions about potential widespread coordinated efforts to illegally harvest and cast votes,” Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) states in a letter sent to Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) on Wednesday, which was provided exclusively to Townhall.
Reps. Andrew Clyde (R-GA), Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), Mary Miller (R-IL), Debbie Lesko (R-AZ), Randy Weber (R-TX), Pete Sessions (R-TX), Byron Donalds (R-FL), Rep. Dan Bishop (R-NC), Rep. Diana Harshbarger (R-TN), and Lauren Boebert (R-CO) co-signed the letter.
In the documentary, filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza uses video and geolocation data to allegedly expose widespread fraud “sufficient to change the overall outcome” of the 2020 election, according to a description of "2000 Mules."
“The film reveals that in the Detroit area more than 500 individuals visited an average of 100 drop boxes to deposit ballots,” Biggs writes. “In the Milwaukee area, more than 100 individuals visited an average of 28 drop boxes. In the Philadelphia area, more than 1,100 individuals visited approximately 50 drop boxes each. And in the Phoenix area, more than 200 individuals visited more than 20 boxes each. Additionally, the film reveals that more than 54,000 individuals delivered votes to at least five drop boxes each in these four states.”
The Republicans note that the Committee has held hearings on a wide array of topics of lesser importance, so the potential illegal activity exposed in “2000 Mules” warrants an investigation.
"Under your leadership, the Committee has held hearings on the Arizona election audit and Texas’ voting laws," the letter continues. "The Committee has also devoted significant time and resources on hearings and investigations into issues such as flea and tick collars, the Washington Commanders football team, electric vehicles for the Postal Service, environmental justice, and vaping among other topics. The illegal activity exposed in the documentary 2000 Mules is far more serious than the aforementioned topics and must be investigated by the Committee."
