Here's the connection I was trying to find earlier between JFK Jr and John Perry Barlow. It was Janet Bouvier's SECOND HUSBAND, who waked Jackie down the aisle at her wedding with JFK. This man was Hugh Dudley Auchincloss Jr.

Jackie's father, "Blackjack" Bouvier was an alcoholic. Even though he went to Yale and belonged to some secret society called the Book and Snake society, I'm not sure how much he had to do with the family after a certain point. He died in 1957. In June 1942, Janet Lee Bouvier married Hugh Dudley Auchincloss, Jr.

Janet reportedly did not want her ex-husband to escort his daughter, Jacqueline, down the aisle for her 1953 wedding to John F. Kennedy as he had done at the wedding of his other daughter wedding the previous year, so Jacqueline was instead escorted by her step-father.

His name was Hugh D. Auchincloss. Interestingly, Auchincloss was also the second Husband of Nina S. Gore, who was the mother of Gore Vidal (that's another story).

Hugh Auchincloss came from a rich family with a political background. He also attended Yale and was part of a competing organization to Skull and Bones. But more importantly "During World War II, Auchincloss worked for the Office of Naval Intelligence and the War Department and was commissioned with the rank of Lieutenant in the Naval Reserve on May 26, 1942, serving in the United States Navy during World War II'''.

Anyway, my suspicion is that Hugh Dudley Auchincloss Jr. was the guy who influenced JFK jr to go to the Bar Cross ranch in Wyoming, not Jackie. (This conceivably was for security reasons and Norman Barlow might also have some connections with intelligence since he was also in government). Jackson Hole Wyoming is a long way from NY and DC. Who knows what else happened out there at Bar Cross Ranch, but this where JHK Jr, and John Phillip Barlow became lifelong pals. It was probably JFK Jr's connections that that got John Barlow started in the intelligence game.

Hugh Dudley Auchincloss may have also played a role for Jackie with intelligence (MI) with all the strange turns that happened after the assassination. There were surely white hats and black hats in the CIA back then too, but she probably trusted Auchincloss Jr. because of her relationship with her step-dad. Of course, she was a very important figure by that time and there were likely many people in intelligency who wanted to give the family protection (and maybe some who just watched the family very carefully).
