Health Canada approves 1st COVID-19 vaccine for youngest kids

The vaccine will be available for children between 6 months and 5 years old

Nearly two million of Canada's youngest children will soon be eligible for immunization against COVID-19 now that the federal drug regulator has approved Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine for infants and preschoolers.

Health Canada now says the Moderna vaccine can be given to young children between the ages of six months and five years in doses one-quarter the size of those approved for adults.

Moderna's product is the first COVID-19 vaccine approved for children under five in Canada.

Pope derides Biden's abortion views, Catholic self-identity as 'incoherence'

Pope Francis questioned President Biden's conscience on Tuesday in an interview during which he described the commander-in-chief's religious identity and views on abortion as incoherent.

"A month after conception, the DNA of the fetus is already there and the organs are aligned. There is human life," the pontiff said in the interview with Spanish-language outlet Univision.

Asked about Biden — a self-professed "devout Catholic" who supports blanket legalization of abortion on the federal level — the pope dismissed the president as incomprehensible.

Beatdown at Miami Steak n’ Shake

An irate customer felt it was taking too long and started to scream at workers on Friday night at the Steak ‘n Shake, at 8701 SW 157th Ave., in the Kendall West neighborhood.

Ramos said the milkshake machine went into a defrost setting, so the customer had to wait for close to ten minutes for the order.

“The people involved were not the customer. The customer grabbed his milkshake and left the premises. It was his gang of buddies,” Ramos said.

Two of the restaurant employees were injured and required hospital attention after suffering a fractured elbow, facial fractures, and a laceration above the eye. One required nine stitches.

As Twitter's lawsuit to force Elon Musk to complete his $44 billion purchase of the company heats up, many are speculating what might happen if Musk simply refuses no matter the outcome.

For starters, a massive fine - which could include Delaware's civil contempt laws, according to Boston College law prof Brian Quinn.

"A judge could hold him in contempt and set a daily fine until he complies," he said, adding "For Musk, that would have to be a rather large number."

For example, in the same Delaware court, Chancery Judge Andrew Bouchard slapped a $30,000 daily fine on transcription software maker Transperfect Global Inc. when they ignored an order.

The court could also seize Musk's assets according to Robert Miller, who holds a chair in corporate finance and law at the Iowa College of Law.
