You keep the forest thinned so only 1/3 is at risk for burning all the way down. 1/3 is harvested then replanted and 1/3 is new growth which doesn't burn well. This way you never have these giant fires.

you want to try to get above that lip on the bottom. I have seen it deflect shots. As long as it's dead on 5.56 or above it will go right thru the meat of the helmet. 9mm doesn't have enough.
