Brazil’s Bolsonaro says he has plan to end Ukraine conflict

The president of South America’s biggest country has claimed to have a solution for ending the conflict in Eastern Europe

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro said he’s figured out how to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict, but he won’t share his plan with anyone until he pitches it to Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky next week.

“I'll tell him my opinion, what I think,”Bolsonaro told reporters on Thursday. “The solution to this, I know how it could be resolved, but I won't tell anyone.”

The Brazilian leader is scheduled to speak with Zelensky by phone on Monday. “This war has been causing huge disruption, less for Brazil, much more for Europe,” Bolsonaro said.

He declined to offer details of his proposed peace plan, but he said the conflict could be resolved “like how Argentina’s war with the UK ended in 1982.” Argentina invaded the British-controlled Falkland Islands in April 1982, prompting the UK to dispatch a large naval task force. The Argentinian forces were outmatched, and Buenos Aires surrendered in June 1982.

Bolsonaro raised the ire of US President Joe Biden and other critics in February, when he went through with a planned trip to Moscow just days before Russian launched its offensive against Ukraine. He adopted a neutral stance on the conflict and declined to join in a US-led attempt to isolate and cripple Moscow through international sanctions.

Just last week, Brazil secured a steady supply of fertilizers from Russia. Bolsonaro said his country might buy low-cost Russian diesel cargoes.

Moscow responds to London’s threats

Russia’s Foreign Ministry has mocked Liz Truss’ self-proclaimed aspirations to “lead the free world” against Vladimir Putin

Russia’s Foreign Ministry has blasted “Russophobic” remarks by British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss, who promised to “continue to lead the free world” against Moscow and ensure Ukraine’s victory. Truss made the remarks during a campaign event for Tory leadership on Thursday.

The aspiring PM candidate, who scored third in Thursday’s ballot, bragged about her ability to “deliver” and make “tough” decisions, listing her staunch support for Kiev as an example of her decision-making abilities.

“I stood up to [Russian President] Vladimir Putin by targeting Russia with the toughest sanctions his regime has ever seen. And I would continue to lead the free world in opposing Putin and making sure that Ukraine prevails,” Truss stated.

The remark was not taken lightly in Moscow, with Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova blasting her words as “Russophobic” and “invariably steeped in painful aggression and nationalism.” Amid the ongoing Tory leadership campaign, Truss “has begun spewing threats towards our country and its leadership and wants to achieve a ‘Ukrainian victory’ over Russia,” in an effort to “fulfill her compulsive ambitions,” according to Zakharova.

“[Truss’] ambition alone to ‘lead the free world’, in an effort to resist Russia, speaks volumes. She looks like a second-rate politician afflicted by megalomania. And she is doing all of this instead of addressing the issues at home, which are plenty,” she said in a statement.

The proclaimed efforts to somehow “defeat”Russia are likely an attempt to “distract voters”from the real problems the UK has been experiencing, Zakharova said.

“Our response to belligerent outbursts by the British Foreign Secretary, who prefers riding tanks over engaging in serious diplomacy, and her determination to ‘defeat’ Russia, is straightforward –go ahead and try. Many have tried in the centuries-old history of our country. As everyone knows, intelligent people learn from other people’s mistakes. Liz Truss could learn from her own mistakes,” Zakharova concluded.

US, Israel plan joint laser development

President Biden has revealed plans for Washington to work with Israel in building laser weapon systems

American and Israeli defense contractors will work jointly on building laser weapons that can shoot down enemy missiles, President Joe Biden announced during a visit to Jerusalem.

“As we move forward together – partners in both security and innovation – the United States and Israel defense sectors will cooperate in new,high-energy laser weapon systemsthat can defend Israeli lives as well as the lives of American service members,” Biden said on Thursday in a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid at his side.

The president made his comments after meeting with Lapid and pledging that Washington would never “allow Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon” and was ready to use “all elements of its national power to ensure that outcome.” Declaring that the “scourge of antisemitism still marches around the world,”he added, “You have an ironclad commitment from the United States of America to Israel’s security, an ironclad commitment.”

Biden noted that the US provided record military aid to Israel last year – adding an extra $1 billion to its base outlays, which average $3.8 billion annually – to help the country replenish the cache of missile interceptors for its so-called Iron Dome defense system. “You have new tools to keep Israel strong and secure,” he said, adding, “We’ll make sure that Israel can defend itself, by itself.”

After arriving in Tel Aviv on Wednesday, Biden toured a display of Israel’s air defense technology, including the Iron Dome and the Arrow and David’s Sling surface-to-air missile systems. He said he also saw a presentation on the Iron Beam, a laser-based system that’s under development.

Israeli defense officials claimed in April that theIron Beam had passed a series of “groundbreaking” tests, proving its ability to intercept rockets, drones, anti-tank missiles and shrapnel. It’s scheduled to go into service sometime this year, beating an earlier target of 2024.

Israel has sought US investment to help fund further development of the Iron Beam. Haifa-based Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, which is state-owned, said last year that it would collaborate with US defense contractor Lockheed Martin on a ground-based laser weapon for Israel. The companies signed a tentative agreement to explore opportunities to market the system in the US.

RT visits neo-Nazi torture dungeon in Ukraine (VIDEO)

Set up at a local school, the base had been used by the Tornado battalion for mass torture, rape and murder

RT’s Murad Gazdiev has visited the former base of the notorious but now disbanded Ukrainian neo-Nazi Tornado battalion. It is located in the village of Privolye near the Lugansk People's Republic city of Lisichansk, which was recently liberated by Russian and allied forces.

The Tornado battalion was formed in 2014 from the remnants of another volunteer unit called Shakhtersk. Despite the unit’s designation as a volunteer police battalion, it was led by a career criminal named Ruslan Onishchenko and the core of the group also consisted of ex-cons.

Tornado was disbanded in 2015 after it faced an array of allegations of kidnapping, rape, torture and unlawful killings. The ‘policemen’ committed many of their grisly deeds at their headquarters, which had been set up in a local school. While the battalion is long gone, the memory of its actions lives on among the locals.

Tornado fighters routinely grabbed people in the streets while searching for ‘separatists’ and inquiring why villagers were not in the army, a local man recalls. He showed the RT crew a dark room with no windows in the school’s basement, which was said to be the torture dungeon of Tornado.

“People came out with bruises, beaten, and some were not found at all. My friend’s son disappeared, he still has not been found,” the man said, adding that some 5-6 people from his village alone vanished without a trace after their ‘stay’ at the battalion’s headquarters.

I don’t know why they were like that. Maybe because they are Bandera followers and Nazis.

The exact number of Tornado’s victims remains unknown – locals are still searching for their graves. “They were doing something in the basements, they were walking around dressed like Nazis, they were shooting at the cemetery, they had a shooting range there. People disappeared, we’ve dug up everything around there – no one knows where they have gone,” a local woman said.

Onishchenko was sentenced to 11 years in prison for kidnapping and torture back in 2015. Several of his associates also received jail terms for kidnapping, torture, rape, and looting.

However, shortly after Moscow launched its large-scale operation against Ukraine in late February,Kiev began releasing inmates who wanted to serve on the frontline – regardless of the seriousness of their crimes. Onishchenko was turned loose earlier this week, despite not having served his term in full, and as he awaited a new trial for his alleged involvement in a 2018 prison riot. Moreover, nearly all of the jailed fighters with the notorious battalion are now said to have been set free.

According to the Ukrainian media, Onishchenko’s original sentence had been commuted in accordance with a 2015 law that says one day spent in pre-trial detention counts as two days in jail. However, the former commander had remained behind bars while awaiting trial for the prison riot.

“Nearly all of the battalion’s members are now back on the frontline, fighting in various units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” Viktor Pandzhakidze, the ex-spokesman for Tornado, told Ukrainian media.

Facebook allows users to create multiple accounts – Bloomberg

The social media giant has reportedly reversed course on its ‘real name policy’ in the hope of keeping users on the platform

Facebook parent company Meta hopes to combat declining user numbers by allowing users to create multiple accounts, Bloomberg revealed on Thursday. Certain users will be able to create as many as four additional profiles, the report says.

The new profiles are said to be linked to the original account, and any violation committed by one will adversely affect the others. New accounts reportedly can’t be used for sock-puppeting – repeatedly “liking” a post or commenting under the false pretense of being multiple people. Facebook instead hopes users will create them for different aspects of their lives – one for friends, one for co-workers, one for special interests and so on, Bloomberg says.

However, according to the report, the extra profiles need not display the user’s real identity, a decision that represents something of a 180 for the social media behemoth. While Facebook has allowed public figures to keep multiple profiles and allowed users to have a separate profile on its Facebook Dating and Facebook Campus services, operating multiple personal accounts was previously forbidden.

Facebook parent company Meta is struggling with declining user numbers as young people flock to TikTok and other competitors. The company lost daily users for the first time in the last quarter of 2021, with some half a million individuals drifting away from the once-dominant platform.

The slump has been especially pronounced among young users, who are fleeing Facebook in droves and even distancing themselves from Instagram. Meta revealed last year that teens spend triple the amount of time on TikTok that they do on Instagram and prefer Snapchat over Messenger or WhatsApp for communicating with their friends.

While Facebook rebranded as Meta in a conscious shift from focusing solely on social media, themetaverse has proven less than profitable for the company as well, losing over $10 billion in 2021.

According to Bloomberg, Meta insists it will not use the multiple accounts in calculating its monthly or daily active user totals and claims the new direction is just a “test,” available to some US users and some in a few other countries.

Live-action footage from the battle for the airfield outside Ukraine’s capital city of Kiev was posted online by RT Russian reporter Valentin Gorshenin on Thursday.

The video, incorporating footage from the body cams of soldiers and imagery captured by drones, unveils previously unseen episodes of the battle for Antonov International Airport, located near the town of Hostomel, which occurred in the early days of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

In the footage, soldiers are seen preparing for a helicopter assault at a staging area at an airfield in Belarus. The troops are then shown disembarking from helicopters and securing the Antonov airfield and multiple buildings at a military installation nearby. Attack and transport helicopters are shown providing support to the troops and hitting ground targets. The airborne troops are ultimately reached by the land forces seen pouring into the airfield en masse.

Fighting at the airport resulted in the destruction of the world’s largest cargo aircraft, the Antonov An-225 Mriya, which was stationed there. Developed in the late 1980s, the Soviet-built behemoth was inherited by Ukraine and used for cargo deliveries. The carcass of the plane was captured on film by a drone and can be seen at the end of the video.

Air Force barred from booting unvaccinated

A US court order forbids the entire branch from enforcing Biden’s vaccine mandate

A federal judge in Ohio on Thursday certified a national class action lawsuit against the US Air Force and issued a restraining order forbidding the military branch from enforcing a Covid-19 vaccine mandate on airmen seeking religious exemption.

Judge Matthew McFarland ordered the entire Air Force to cease the mandatory vaccination of all active-duty and reserve members objecting on religious grounds. The order is temporary and expires in 14 days, during which time President Joe Biden’s Secretary of the Air Force, Frank Kendall III, is required to make his case for the mandate to stand.

The case was brought by a few dozen airmen stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, but McFarland’s ruling impacts more than 9,000 service members nationally and internationally who have sought religious exemptions from the jab. According to court documents, the Air Force had only approved 86 of these requests as of early June.

Should the case be brought to higher courts, its outcome is uncertain. Back in April, the US Supreme Court ruled against an Air Force officer who refused to be vaccinated on religious grounds. The court gave no explanation for its ruling, but conservative justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and Neil Gorsuch dissented.

Active duty Air Force members were required to be vaccinated by November 2021, with reservists and members of the Air National Guard having until January of this year to get the shot. The military’s mandatory vaccine policy was imposed by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and approved by Biden last August.

Across the entire US military, some 268,858 troops and 50,710 civilian employees remain “partially vaccinated,” according to Pentagon figures. This number counts those not up to date on their shots, and does not include those who haven’t received a single dose.

The US Army declared last week that unvaccinated troops would no longer be paid and could face separation from the military. The deadline for part-time Army Reservists and National Guardsmen to receive the vaccine passed last week too, leaving more than 60,000 of these part-timers at risk of punishment.

Some 6,400 service members have already been kicked out for refusing to get the shot, with the majority being Marines, according to statistics cited by Breitbart.

Biden reveals American goals in Ukraine

The US president says Washington will continue its support for Kiev to defeat Moscow

Moscow must suffer “a strategic failure” during its military campaign in Ukraine, US President Joe Biden has said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “assault on Ukraine is a challenge to the peace and stability everywhere in the world,” Biden told reporters during his trip to Jerusalem on Thursday.

Biden has also promised to continue supporting Kiev. “The free world must sustain a resolve to help Ukraine defend its democracy,” he said.

Ahead of the meeting, news website Axios, citing US officials, reported that Biden would ask Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid to increase military aid to Ukraine.

The Israeli government announced this week that it would sendhelmets, flak jackets, gas masks and other protective gear to Ukraine. Israel, however, has so far refused to supply Kiev with offensive weapons or impose sanctions on Moscow.

Speaking at an economic forum in St. Petersburg last month, Putin insisted that “all of the objectives of [Russia’s] military operation will be accomplished.”

At a government meeting last week, Putin also said: “We’re hearing today that they want to defeat us on the battlefield. Well, what can be said here? They can try.”

Joe Biden’s Deputies to Enable Abortions for Migrants Raped on Way to TexasNeil Munro13 Jul 2022

Present Joe Biden’s border officials have decided they will transport detained migrants who want abortions to U.S. states that allow abortions, according to the Wall Street Journal.

“Why are these [detained] women pregnant in the first place?” asked Rosemary Jenks, the policy director for NumbersUSA. “If they want abortions,] they could have been impregnated on their way here, probably by [members of the] cartels … that is probably a significant portion of the cases,” she told Breitbart News.

The Wall Street Journal reported on July 12 on the policy adopted by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency:

The memo is from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Acting Director Tae Johnson and is addressed to Corey Price, head of the agency’s enforcement division.

“This memorandum serves as a reminder of existing ICE policies and standards requiring that pregnant individuals detained in ICE immigration custody have access to full reproductive health care,” the memo states. “This is also a reminder that, pursuant to existing ICE policy, it may be necessary to transfer a detained pregnant individual within an area of responsibility (AOR) or to another AOR, when appropriate and practicable, in order to ensure such access.”

Biden’s agency has opened the nation’s doors — and the U.S. job market — to more than one million economic migrants since January 2021. Many of the migrants are killed or raped while trying to reach Biden’s welcome.

The Wall Street Journal article does not mention if the agency will help get abortions for some of the roughly 50,000 girls that it expects to deliver in 2022 to illegal-migrant relatives and employers throughout the United States.

The girls are being delivered to Biden’s border agents by for-profit coyotes,often after their parents provide the girls with contraceptive pills.

In 2021, Biden’s deputies, led by DHS secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, cited a 2008 law to justify his policy of relaying roughly 100,000 young migrants — including about 30,000 girls and many job-seeking adults — to the coyotes’ fee-paying customers.

The new memo talks about future abortions for each “pregnant individual,” but does mention not “women” or “girls.” However, a July 5 report by Reuters said Biden’s deputies are already delivering raped migrant children to abortion clinics: “For the past nine months, U.S. health officials have been flying or driving [unaccompanied alien] minors from Texas shelters to other states for abortions.”

The moral issue raised by the federal encouragement of cartel-controlled child migration — and then by the government delivery of the predictably raped children to abortion clinics — was waved away by Reuters with a quote from the pro-abortion ACLU: “Time is really of the essence when someone needs access to abortion,” said Brigitte Amiri, a director at the ACLU’s abortion advocacy unit.

In sharp contrast, President Donald Trump’s deputies sought to reduce the rape and abortion rates among illegal migrants, the Wall Street Journal noted:

Abortion has previously been a fraught issue in federal immigration custody. In 2018, under the Trump administration, officials pressured pregnant teenagers living in federal immigration shelters for unaccompanied immigrant children not to have abortions, a policy that sparked a highly publicized legal battle.

The abortion news comes two weeks after 53 illegal migrants were killed in a single truck disaster near San Antonio, Texas. That story has fallen out of establishment media outlets “a whole lot more quickly than any of the gang shootings that killed far fewer people,” Jenks said.

“Among the dead were six children … [including] two cousins, 13 and 14 years old,” Buzzfeed News reported on July 8…

Biden’s border with Mexico is the deadliest land crossing in the world, according to a United Nations group, the International Organization for Migration. “More than 1,238 lives have been lost during migration in the [north, central and south] Americas in 2021, among them at least 51 children,” said the group’s July 1 report.

The harm caused by the Biden welcome policy is quietly recognized by the left-wing groups who favor migration. Many of the progressive-run groups want taxpayer funding to provide safer migration routes for economic migrants seeking Americans’ jobs. So far, the Biden administration is doing little or nothing to prevent the rape of the migrants, said Jenks….
