Typically pro-censorship senators call for Facebook to stop censoring abortion content

Kek. The lefties don't like it when their own policies work against them. They think that they have the right to petition social media companies to censor on behalf of the government. Wait…isn't that the definition of fascism? And they call us the fascists! These people have no shame. Copy of the letter to Facebook and Instagram follows.

Dear Mr. Zuckerberg and Mr. Mosseri:

We write to express our concern about reports that Facebook and Instagram are censoring posts containing accurate information about abortion in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson. As a result of the Court’s decision, it is more important than ever that social media platforms not censor truthful posts about abortion, particularly as people across the country turn to online communities to discuss and find information about reproductive rights.

Last month the Supreme Court overruled Roe v. Wade, stripping away constitutional protections for abortion. In the aftermath of the decision, many took to social media to share stories about the impact of the decision, let others know how to legally obtain abortion services, and to discuss their personal experiences. Posts about abortion spiked across social media in the days following the decision.

As people across the country took to the internet to discuss the Dobbs decision, both Facebook and Instagram removed posts about abortion. Reports indicate that multiple posts providing accurate information about how to legally access abortion services were removed, often within minutes after the information was posted. Others reported that posts mentioning abortion were taken down or were tagged with “sensitivity screens” and warnings, including a post promoting

an abortion documentary, a posting entitled “Abortion in America How You Can Help,” and a post from a healthcare worker describing how people were already being harmed by laws banning abortion. One organization dedicated to informing people in the United States about their abortion rights temporarily had its account suspended. Users reported similar issues last fall when Texas’s law banning abortions after six weeks went into effect.

Last week, Meta spokesperson Andy Stone pointed to Facebook’s policy banning attempts to buy, sell, trade, gift, or request pharmaceuticals on its platform as the reason for the posts being removed. Stone acknowledged, however, that Facebook and Instagram have had problems applying the policy to posts about abortion. Accordingly, we write to ask for additional information about what Meta is doing to address problems applying company policies. We ask for you to answer the following questions by July 15, 2022:

  1. What measures, both automated and manual, do you employ on Facebook and Instagram to flag posts about abortion in the United States?

  2. How many abortion-related posts have been removed from Instagram and Facebook in the United States since June 24, 2022 for an alleged violation of Meta’s policies?

  3. How many abortion-related hashtags have been removed or blocked from Instagram and Facebook posts in the United States since June 24, 2022 for an alleged violation of Meta’s policies?

  4. What steps do Facebook and Instagram have in place for users to contest a violation of Meta’s policies?

  5. Have any abortion-related posts been reinstated after further review? If so, how many?

  6. What steps is Meta taking to ensure that posts about abortion that do not violate Meta’s policies are not removed in error?

  7. Please provide a copy of all training materials or guidance provided to your content moderation teams about abortion posts in the current calendar year. For each, identify the document’s main author and who approved the document.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

>Satanists have the atheists hook, line, and sinker.

Define atheist. Define satanist.

Disbelief in God does not imply belief in nothing. One can disavow the God of the Bible and yet still believe that there is a higher power in the universe (whatever one chooses to call it).

There are atheists who believe that there is no basis for morality. There are atheists who believe the opposite.

The same can be said for satanists.

>I would say that any belief in any "higher power" is a form of theism even if it rejects some of the more questionable aspects of the Old Testament.

It's a minefield of poorly defined or understood words. Theist, deist, atheist, agnostic. Are there more? Kek. Rejecting the more questionable of the OT is hardly a rejection of God. Personally, I have an issue with the concept of a all-powerful supreme creator that is self-aware and able to communicate with us.

>I say man is truly good when he is good for the sake of being good.

That comes from a sense of empathy. It does seem, however, that many lack empathy and therefore are unable to choose to be good for the sake of being good. They act out of selfishness. For example, one's love for one's child may come from the sense that the child is merely one's property. We can see this in parents who abuse their kids yet claim to love them.

>Did "science" debunk this idea?

In my opinion, science has allowed us to consider possibilities that were previously inconceivable. It does not, in itself, negate previously considered possibilities. Science is not incompatible with the concept of a living God. Only unimaginative fools would think otherwise.

Wow. The guy should be in jail, kek. All that evidence and they still couldn't nail him. He's the most popular "former" president of all time despite their best efforts to smear him.

>Empathy is actually very important.

>But it IS NOT THE SAME AS GOODNESS.

I don't disagree with you. Not at all. However, I did not say that empathy equals goodness. After all, the road to hell is paved with "good" intentions.

>Soul then remains in a type of disconnected Limbo

The connection between the soul and the physical body is necessary for intelligence. We can see the results of the disconnection. Loss of memory, inattention, odd behaviour, etc. Story follows.

My roommate paid up his rent at the beginning of the month. Then he stated that he still owes me $300. I counted the money and it was $100 over the rent. I told him this and he mumbled "That explains why I only have $200 in my bank account". Weird.

I'm sure he's been vaxxed because he's been to doctors and clinics for some cancer thing. It's kinda scary that this guy might lose his mind and I'll be stuck living with a paranoid freak or something. A man without his soul.

>If programs, or AI can live forever, then so can souls.

Theoretically, programs or AI can live forever. In practice, they degenerate if they are not continuously updated to remain compatible with the reality around them.

This is good news. We need to see a universal rejection of these poisons. It will be shown that the so-called vaccines never saved any lives as children forget to die from not getting them. Kek. Fuck Big Pharma.
