You aren't paying attention. The bible is truth of what happened and what is to happen. It is a playbook. His story. God gave you so you can understand. He couldn't just let his children go and all be corrupted by this. He can't make you love him, he can only guide you to the truth and then you can choose to love him, good over evil, love over lust etc.
