So Buttboy thinks rich people buying an electric car is progress. He's a deep thinker that one.

If they want all citizens in the US to have an electric car, they should take back the $70 billion given to Ukraine, buy us all a car, then give us a $1,000 so we can pay for the electricity monthly.

That will take care of their imaginary climate change bullshit.

here's the rest of the article:

At a hearing in Navarro's case on Friday, U.S. District Court Judge Amit Mehta indicated he agreed federal agents used unnecessary force against the former White House official, Politico reported.

"It is curious … at a minimum why the government treated Mr. Navarro's arrest in the way it did," said Mehta. "It is a federal crime, but it is not a violent crime." (these judges must be stupid or something, it's already been proven its an illegal committee put together so they cannot transfer the law to something illegally constituted. Has anyone challenged this in court?)

Mehta said it was baffling that prosecutors didn't simply tell Navarro he was going to be charged and let him walk into an FBI office.

"It is a surprise to me that self-surrender was not offered," said the judge, who didn't demand an explanation from prosecutors.

One of Navarro's lawyers, John Irving, a formal federal prosecutor, expressed concern about the conduct of the FBI and the Justice Department toward his client in a statement to Just the News."Why would you put a 72-year-old man with no criminal record in leg irons in a public arrest at an airport over a misdemeanor offense, especially when he literally lives across the street from the FBI headquarters building and had been in contact with an FBI agent two days earlier to be cooperative?" asked Irving. "This obviously is the kind of case where a defendant would be allowed to voluntarily surrender in court, rather than being the object of a public spectacle."

this is the complete link, the one in the post didn't work

Olympics committee announces restoration of Jim Thorpe as sole gold medalist from 1912 competition

Athlete had been stripped of medals after his professional sports-playing came to light.

Jim Thorpe, the Native American athlete whose legacy has been overshadowed by a century-long controversy involving several stripped Olympic titles, had those titles restored this week after decades of debate on the matter.

Thorpe—whose Othâkîwaki name was translated as "Bright Path"—had originally won two Olympic gold medals in both the pentathlon and the decathlon during the 1912 Stockholm games. The International Olympic Committee, however, subsequently stripped him of those medals when it learned he had apparently violated the Olympic rules on competing in professional sports.

Thorpe died in 1953 with his medals still stripped. In 1983 the IOC subsequently restored his titles, having ruled that the penalty against him had fallen outside of the committee's statute of limitations.

The athlete was nevertheless merely listed as a co-champion with the restoration of his medals. But this week the IOC announced it had restored him as full champion following lobbying efforts by Bright Path Strong, a group dedicated to restoring Thorpe's sole title to his medals.

"We welcome the fact that, thanks to the great engagement of Bright Path Strong, a solution could be found," IOC President Thomas Bach said in a press release regarding the restoration.

"This is a most exceptional and unique situation," Bach added, "which has been addressed by an extraordinary gesture of fair play from the National Olympic Committees concerned.”

So is this why the DOJ is investigating MD police?

Police in Maryland announce crackdown on raucous protests outside Supreme Court justices' homes

“MCPD supports the first amendment right to protest, however anyone violating the disorderly conduct statute, may be subject to arrest,” the Montgomery County Police Department tweeted Thursday.

Police in Montgomery County, Md., will enforce laws against picketing private residences and disorderly conduct during protests.

“MCPD supports the first amendment right to protest, however anyone violating the disorderly conduct statute, may be subject to arrest,” the Montgomery County Police Department said in a Thursday tweet.

Please note: MCPD supports the first amendment right to protest, however anyone violating the disorderly conduct statute, may be subject to arrest.

Applicable laws regarding protests in Montgomery County have been added to the MCPD website.https://t.co/nibddmkC3x#MCPD #MCPNews

— Montgomery County Department of Police (@mcpnews) July 13, 2022

“There are content neutral Montgomery County Code and Maryland Law provisions that restrict protesting and assembling in a private neighborhood, as well as disturbing the peace,” the MCPD said in a notice on its website.

The announcement comes months after pro-abortion activists started gathering near Supreme Court justices’ homes to protest the court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

For neighbors of Justice Brett Kavanaugh, demonstrators showing up outside his Maryland home around twice a week became a nuisance.

“It’s a horrific experience,” one neighbor said last month. “They have drummers. They have a megaphone, and they chant. They yell all kinds of things. … They have told neighbors, ‘F you, f your children,’ things like that. And so they’re abusive toward the neighbors and intimidating.”

On June 8, police arrested a California man who was found loitering near Kavanaugh’s home around 1 a.m.

Nicholas John Roske was charged with attempted murder after cops found that he was equipped with a pistol, a knife, a hammer, a crowbar, pepper spray, duct tape and other materials.

The regular protests prompted Supreme Court Marshal Gail Curley to send a letter to Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan requesting that he enforce state laws against picketing in residential areas.

“You recently stated that you were ‘deeply concerned’ that ‘hundreds of demonstrators have recently chosen to picket Supreme Court Justices at their homes in … Maryland,’” Curley’s letter to the governor stated.

“Since then, protest activity at the Justices’ homes, as well as threatening activity, has only increased.”

The MCPD told CNN that it would “not necessarily clear protesters outside of justices’ homes for simply gathering, but will enforce statutes against disturbing the peace.”

“For example, protesting quietly or silently is fine, but police will not allow bullhorns, drums or any loud behavior,” CNN reported.

The MCPD announcement comes as Twitter on Thursday suspended the account of the pro-abortion group Ruth Sent Us for doxing multiple Supreme Court justices, according to Fox News.

Ruth Sent Us has been notorious for urging protesters to congregate near the homes of the justices. The group was also banned from Facebook last month, although it has evaded the ban by creating another page, Fox reported.

Twitter suspends account of group that posted addresses of Supreme Court justices(finally after leaving them up for weeks and weeks)

The conservative-leaning justices last month struck down court's ruling on Roe v. Wade that for decades made abortion constitutional right

Twitter has suspended the account of a pro-abortion group that has used the social media platform to post the addresses of Supreme Court justices and to encourage people to protest outside of their homes.

The conservative-leaning justices last month struck down the court's ruling on Roe v. Wade that for decades made abortion a constitutional right. The protests started in May when a draft of the decision was leaked to the news media, at about the same time the group, Ruth Sent Us, began its posts, according to the Daily Wire.

The group posted a map on its website listing the street names where Justices Amy Coney Barrett, John Roberts, Samuel Alito, Brett Kavanaugh, Clarence Thomas and Neil Gorsuch live.

Google removed the map in May, citing a “violation of our personal and confidential information policy.”

Twitter did not respond to a request for comment from The Daily Wire on why it didn't suspend the account until about two months after Google removed the map or what specific tweet was the final straw.

"If you’re in the DC metro area, join us," the group also tweeted. "Our protests at Barrett’s home moved the needle to this coverage."

Ruth Sent Us also reportedly pushed for protesters to interrupt Catholic masses on Mother’s Day, warning one critic in a May 7 tweet: “Stuff your rosaries and your weaponized prayer. We will remain outraged after this weekend, so keep praying. We’ll be burning the Eucharist to show our disgust for the abuse Catholic Churches have condoned for centuries.”

TikTok, which did not respond to requests for comment, also briefly banned the group in May, the Daily Wire also reports.

Pennsylvania House forms bipartisan committee to investigate Philadelphia progressive prosecutor

This year, Philadelphia’s violent crime has risen by 8% and property crime by 30%, compared to 2021

The Pennsylvania State House has created a bipartisan committee to investigate a crime spree in Philadelphia, the state’s largest city.

Part of the effort includes allowing the committee to subpoena witnesses and documents from the office of Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, a frontline figure in the national progressive prosecutor movement, according to the Epoch Times.

Under Krasner, Philadelphia’smurders increased to from 353 in 2018 to 562 in 2021– the deadliest year in Philadelphia history.

This year, Philadelphia’s violent crime has risen by 8% and property crime by 30%, compared to 2021, according to the latest crime data by Philadelphia Police Department reviewed by the Epoch Times.

The committee can make evidence-based recommendations up to the impeachment of Krasner.

In addition to investigating Krasner’s office, the committee will also look into judges’ sentencing decisions and city hall’s spending on law enforcement.

Last month, San Francisco voters ousted their progressive prosecutor, Chesa Boudin.

In Los Angeles, voters are also working to recall George Gascón. However, Pennsylvania doesn’t have recall elections.

Krasner’s signature policies include no prosecution for many low-level crimes, no cash bail recommendations for a wide range of misdemeanors and felonies, and reduced sentencing guidelines in plea bargains, according to a review of the office’s policy memos.

House passes abortion rights measures after SCOTUS overturns Roe v. Wade

(bet there is a ton of bullshit funding for their pet causes, probably funding PP for some other way to kill babies)

Pro-choice Republican Sens. Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski both declined to support the WHCA last year

The House passed two bills on Friday to codify the right to an abortion in federal law and to protect interstate travel to receive the procedure.

Democrats passed the Women's Health Protection Act,which would supersede state abortion bans and guarantee access to the procedure, in a 219-210 vote. No Republicans supported the measure and Texas Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar voted against it as well, The Hill reported. The House approved the same bill last year but the Senate blocked its advancement twice.

Also clearing the House in a 223-205 vote on Friday was the Ensuring Access to Abortion Act, which aims to protect women who travel to another state to receive an abortion. This measure earned unanimous support from Democrats present and the votes of GOP Reps. Adam Kinzinger, Ill., Brian Fitzpatrick, Pa., and Fred Upton, Mich.

It is unlikely to succeed in the upper chamber as legislation must overcome a prospective filibuster with 60 votes and Republicans largely oppose the bill.

Pro-choice Republican Sens. Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska both declined to support the WHCA when it previous came up for a vote in the Senate, asserting that the bill goes beyond protecting the abortion rightsguaranteed under the now-defunct Roe v. Wade precedent and eliminates conscience provisions.

Democratic West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin also opposed the WHCA on similar grounds and the bill failed in May in a 51-49 vote.

The Supreme Court ruled in the Dobbs v. Jackson case in late June that the U.S. Constitution does not guarantee a right to have an abortion, prompting a legislative flurry from pro-life and pro-choice states alike in an attempt to limit or protect the procedure respectively.

House Democrats have since urged their party's leadership to strip the Supreme Court of its jurisdiction over abortion cases and other social issues. WTF

WHPA. Woman's Health Protection Act basically is saying States cannot implement state laws limiting abortion, that the federal gov is the only one that can say what happens with abortion, and now they are trying to open up the State to be sued and sued again, at any time.

Lawfags, is this illegal, to override states rights? Even if the states adopted before this law would not be immune either. This is crazy freaking shit.

Abortion doctor reported alleged 27-year-old illegal immigrant rapist as 17-year-old on forms

(it looks like the abortionist was trying to protect the rapist)

Doctor had initially refused to provide any clarifying information regarding the case.

An abortion doctor who ignited international controversy with claims of a 10-year-old rape victim seeking abortion across state lines identified the girl's alleged 27-year-old abuser as a 17-year-old on child protective forms, media reports revealed this week.

Caitlan Bernard has been at the center of a political firestorm when she told the Indianapolis Star earlier this month that she had performed an abortion on a 10-year-old Ohio girl who had been the victim of rape in her home state.

The case touched off controversy in the wake of Roe v. Wade's repeal due to the girl's reportedly having had to seek the abortion in Indiana due to Ohio's restrictive laws. Bernard initially refused to offer media any additional information on the case.

This week, however, law enforcement revealed that they had arrested 27-year-old Gerson Fuentes and charged him with the rape. Fuentes reportedly admitted to the crime.

Bernard, meanwhile, allegedly identified the individual as a minor while filling out the necessary child protective forms after performing the abortion.

Bernard "reported that the alleged rapist was approximately 17-years-old in an official filing to the Indiana Department of Health," Fox News reported late Thursday, citing the filing which it had obtained.

Whether or not Bernard was aware of the alleged rapist's true age is unknown. The New York Times noted that, in such cases, "doctors often make their best guess," particularly when "little may be known about the perpetrator." (yeah the same NYTs that says Ray Epps is a victim, why do they protect criminals so much?)

Fuentes is reportedly being held on $2 million bond due to the charges.
