FACTUALLY… the polio vaccine had NOTHING to do with the decline of polio in the US. if you examine health data going back 100 yrs prior to the introdcution of the salk vaccine in the 1950s, you will discover that cases of polio had been in steady decline for many decades, and reached the current baseline around 1940, over a dozen years before the introduction of the polio vax. in fact, the data show that the vax had negligible or ZERO effect on the incidence of polio in the US.
