The arguments on half (where it was posted way back) were basically that since the OTHER footage showed real people/scenery, then this footage must be real. Yeah.
I swear it was a test to see if anons could actually discern blatant CGI. Seemed either you audibly kek'd upon first seeing it, or threw yourself into a mess of mental gymnastics to explain away the obvious. Thankfully there was enough company in the former camp at the time.
