This is a message being pounded on international media, especially to Filipinos abroad, that "Marcos Jr. had a multi-year disinfo campaign leading up to his victory." The theme here is that rural Filipinos were too dumb and easily duped into believing that Marcos Sr. wasn't all that bad, and like father like son.
