Aviv Kohavi acknowledges ‘possibility’ IDF will need to strike Iranian nuke facilities, says Israel has ‘moral obligation’ to be ready with military response

Army chief Aviv Kohavi on Sunday said it was Israel’s “moral obligation” to prepare a military response against Iran’s nuclear program, hours after a senior Iranian official said his country has the ability to produce a weapon.

In light of growing uncertainty regarding a return by Iran to the 2015 nuclear deal due to long-stalled negotiations with world powers, the past year has seen the Israel Defense Forces ramp up its efforts to prepare a credible military threat against Tehran’s nuclear facilities.

In a speech at a ceremony marking the change of the military’s Home Front Command chief, Kohavi said, “Preparing the home front for war is a task that must be accelerated in the coming years, especially in light of the possibility that we will be required to act against the nuclear threat.”

“The IDF continues to prepare vigorously for an attack on Iran and must prepare for every development and every scenario,” he said.

Kohavi said “preparing a military option against the Iranian nuclear program is a moral obligation and a national security order,” adding that such preparation is “at the center” of the IDF’s preparations, and includes “a variety of operational plans, the allocation of many resources, the acquisition of appropriate weapons, intelligence and training.”

Soros-Linked Group Wins $172M Contract from Biden to Help Border Crossers Avoid Deportation

A left-wing group linked to billionaire George Soros has won a nearly $172 million federal contract from President Joe Biden’s administration to help young border crossers avoid deportation, a report revealed this week.

Fox News’s Adam Shaw and Joe Schoffstall reported on Thursday that the Vera Institute of Justice, with financial ties to Soros, has won a federal contract for $171.7 million that will provide attorneys to Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs) to avoid deportation from the United States.

The federal contract could end up showering the Vera Institute of Justice with $1 billion in taxpayer funding, Fox News reported:

The arrangement lasts until March 2023 but can reach as high as $983 million if renewed until March 2027, the agreement shows. This appears to be the largest federal contract Vera has secured for immigration-related services for any single year dating back to the mid-2000s. [Emphasis added]

The Vera Insitute, meanwhile, is propelled by taxpayer-backed government grants and contracts like the one it secured in March. Between July 1, 2020, and June 30, 2021, $152 million of the group’s $191 million in revenue came from government sources, its most recent financial audit shows. [Emphasis added]

The institute seeks to end “mass incarceration” by cutting down on the number of jails, prisons and detention centers in the United States. The group has also signaled support for defunding police. [Emphasis added]

As Breitbart News reported in 2018, the Vera Institute of Justice was previously awarded $310 million by the Obama administration to help UACs avoid deportation.

The group also takes taxpayer money via sanctuary jurisdictions.

In 2019, for instance, the Vera Institute of Justice worked with the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to create a program dedicated to helping illegal aliens avoid deportation specifically by providing them with free legal services.

4 Dead After Sheriff’s Office Helicopter Crash in New Mexico

LAS VEGAS, N.M.—Four people have been killed in a crash of a Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office helicopter that was headed back to Albuquerque after assisting firefighters in another New Mexico city, authorities said Sunday.

Sheriff’s officials said three people from the sheriff’s office and a county firefighter were aboard the helicopter when it went down near Las Vegas, New Mexico, about 123 miles northeast of Albuquerque.

Killed in the crash were Undersheriff Larry Koren, Lt. Fred Beers, Deputy Michael Levison and county Fire and Rescue Department Specialist Matthew King, according to sheriff’s officials.

The ages of the four men weren’t immediately available.

A Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman had said the Bell UH-1H helicopter crashed around 10 p.m. Saturday, but sheriff’s officials said it was about 7:20 p.m.

The cause of the crash is unknown and will be investigated by the FAA and National Transportation Safety Board.

New Mexico State Police confirmed the crash and the fatalities around 12:15 a.m. Sunday.

They said helicopter and its crew had been assisting with a wildfire in the Las Vegas area Saturday, providing bucket drops and other air logistics needs to fire crews on the ground.

Sheriff’s officials said they now are working with the Office of the Medical Investigator to recover the bodies of the four men and take them back to Albuquerque.

Aerial video from KOAT-TV showed the wreckage of the helicopter in at least two pieces among some desert shrubs, the Albuquerque Journal reported.

In the past several days, the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office used its Metro 2 helicopter to fight a small fire in the East Mountains near Albuquerque and another fire near Santa Fe, according to Albuquerque TV station KQRE.

“I am heartbroken by the tragic loss of four New Mexicans while in the line of duty,” Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham said in a statement. “As we await additional details on the investigation, my office will offer any available support and assistance to the sheriff’s office and the county. State resources will be fully available to assist the investigation.”

Christian Porter, John Barilaro and Alan Jones’ barrister Sue Chrysanthou SC is found to be corrupt by the Full Court of the Federal Court

Christian Porter, on Thursday (14/7/22), lost his appeal in a unanimous decision against Jo Dyer in relation to having his barrister Sue Chrysanthou SC restrained from representing him at his 2021 defamation case against the ABC and journalist Louise Milligan.

For a barrister to have to be restrained by the court from representing a client because the barrister thinks they are above the law and they are caught lying to the court under oath doesn’t get any more corrupt than that.

Sue Chrysanthou SC has not only represented alleged rapist Christian Porter but also alleged paedophile Alan Jones and fraudster and thief John Barilaro who now has multiple crimes under investigation by the NSW ICAC.

The old media regularly refer to Sue Chrysanthou SC as a star barrister and/or part of a star legal team when in fact she is a dud who has done major damage to her own reputation as well as the reputation of her clients and the legal fraternity as a whole.

Below we’ll have a look at the three clients I just mentioned that Sue Chrysanthou SC has left worse for wear which says a lot given all three had extremely poor reputations before they met Sue Chrysanthou.

Christian Porter’s defamation case against the ABC and Louise Milligan

Sue Chrysanthou SC had every opportunity to stop representing Christian Porter but she refused which left Jo Dyer with no option but to institute proceedings against Christian Porter and in the end she had to be restrained by the Federal Court of Australia from representing him.

The reason Sue Chrysanthou SC refused to stop representing Porter is that she thought she was above the law and never believed that Jo Dyer would follow through with an application to have her restrained by the court from representing Porter.

The defamation case related to reports that Christian Porter raped the now deceased Katharine Thornton in 1988 who was a friend of Jo Dyer.

The defamation case settled in 2021 and the only purpose for Christian Porter appealing against having his barrister Sue Chrysanthou SC restrained from representing him was so Porter could avoid the $430,000 of costs awarded to Jo Dyer.

Ms Dyer wanted the restraining order because she was going to be a witness for the ABC in Porter’s defamation case against them and Ms Dyer had previously been represented by Sue Chrysanthou SC over the same issues regarding an article written in the Australian Newspaper that was possibly defamatory of Ms Dyer.

That meant Sue Chrysanthou SC had confidential information about Jo Dyer and it was a huge conflict for her to represent Porter. But Christian Porter and Sue Chrysanthou SC are both so corrupt they didn’t care and they underestimated Jo Dyer.

When Jo Dyer took legal action both Christian Porter and Sue Chrysanthou SC were respondents and from memory, Sue Chrysanthou SC said she would not appeal after they lost the original decision. But based on the information reported from the decision on Thursday Sue Chrysanthou SC did appeal and also lost along with Porter. (The whole judgment hasn’t been published yet)
