The Left despised anything that is Good.
The Left deletes, censors, and cancels anything that threatens its narrative & goals.
They are like the Mafia.
When good is fighting Evil, Good is fighting with one hand tied behind it's back.
Evil is willing to lie, cheat, steal, and murder to accomplish it's goals.
Good is not willing to do these things and Evil knows it, and takes advantage of that fact.
The only way that Good can win is with Divine Intervention.

The immigrants were just a replacement for the slaves. They knew that eventually slavery would be outlawed, so they had to replace the slaves with cheap immigrant indentured servants.
The Protestant Work Ethic was making the Middle Class too large. They don't want a large Middle Class. A large Middle Class is a danger to them.
All Revolutions are won by the Middle Class, not the Lower Class.
By giving a lot of "free stuff" to the Lower Class, the Middle Class is more accepting of the idea of Socialism. "I want my 'free stuff' too, mentality.
Then the Middle class can be controlled the same as the Lower Class, and gradually the "free stuff" starts to disappear, and you have a 3rd World Country, 10% filthy rich, 90% dirt poor.
In some ways the slaves were treated better than immigrant indentured servants. The slaves were an investment. In was in the interest of their owners that they were well cared for and were provided with adequate food, clothing, and housing. The immigrants were disposable and could live in the slums. There were always plenty more free immigrants pouring in to replace any that died.
