Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky unloaded on Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) over a "secret deal" he made with Democrats to nominate a conservative federal judge.

The reported deal would have put Chad Meredith on a vacant district court position in Kentucky, but Paul used a well-known Senate rule to kill the nomination.

On Monday, Paul spoke to reporters about his decision and blasted McConnell in the process.

“This was McConnell doing a secret deal behind the scenes to get something he wanted, without any consultation," said Paul to NBC News.

Paul said that McConnell never talked to him about the nomination of Meredith and that the first he'd heard about it was when the FBI called him about it for a background check.

“Senator McConnell — he thought it was beneath himself to actually talk to me," Paul continued. "Senator McConnell sabotaged this by doing it in secret.”

Paul went on to say he didn't have any objection to the nomination, but that he objected to McConnell's tactics. Paul also presumed that McConnell would blame him after McConnell realized that liberal objections to Meredith were going to tank the nomination.

While campaigning for president, Joe Biden made it abundantly clear that one of his chief goals would be the demolition of America’s fossil fuel energy industry. Unfortunately, President Biden has delivered on this campaign promise, which is why the cost of energy is skyrocketing and rolling brownouts may become the norm throughout the country in the not-too-distant future.

According to the June Consumer Price Index report, “The energy index rose 41.6 percent over the past 12 months. The gasoline index increased 59.9 percent over the span, the largest 12-month increase in that index since March 1980. The index for electricity rose 13.7 percent, the largest 12-month increase since the period ending April 2006. The index for natural gas increased 38.4 percent over the last 12 months, the largest such increase since the period ending October 2005.”

Although the Biden administration would like you to believe that the vast increase in energy prices is due to Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, this is simply not true.

In fact, since day one of his presidency, Biden and his administration officials have waged war on U.S. fossil fuel energy production, which is overwhelmingly why the price of gasoline, diesel fuel, electricity, natural gas, propane, and home heating oil continues to increase at historic rates.

Immediately after taking the oath of office, Biden launched his assault on America’s energy sector when he canceled the Keystone XL pipeline, which would have transported nearly 900,000 barrels of oil from Canada to U.S. refineries on a daily basis.

That same day, Biden signed several executive orders designed to throttle U.S. domestic energy exploration and production, including one that suspended oil and gas leases on federal lands and waters.

Shortly thereafter, Biden decided to undo President Trump’s decision to pull the United States out of the Paris Climate Accords, despite the fact that U.S. carbon dioxide emissions decreased more than the Paris Climate Accords dictated during Trump’s presidency.

Then, in May, Biden issued another series of executive orders to stifle U.S. energy innovation and investment. These pernicious measures mobilized numerous executive departments to clamp down on the U.S. energy sector, such as the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In late 2021, Biden was at it again, canceling oil and gas permits in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge as well as in New Mexico.

Making matters even worse, Biden then enabled the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to “sharply reduce methane and other harmful air pollution from both new and existing sources in the oil and natural gas industry.”

On top of all of this, the Biden administration has also overturned many Trump-era rules and policies that were intended to reform a host of burdensome EPA oil and gas rules, slow-walked new drilling permits, pursued onerous standards for particulate matter and ozone, increased red tape throughout the energy industry, raised the “social cost” of greenhouse gases, attempted to resurrect the Obama-era Clean Power Plan, massively increased subsidies for so-called renewable energy sources and electric vehicles, and inserted John Kerry as the nation’s Climate Envoy.

For many years we have been anticipating the implementation of far reaching and transformative restrictions on industry and agriculture in the name of “climate change” initiatives, and now it would seem the time has come for the fight to commence. The first major battleground is clearly Europe, as individual nations follow the emissions dictates if the centralized EU government, crushing their own economies while in the midst of a self induced energy crisis. It seems like madness, but there's a bigger agenda at play here.

Today, a farmer's rebellion is rising across Europe as the actual producers of the food that keeps the public alive are being demonized for refusing to work under conditions that would essentially bankrupt them. European emissions rules are not just about carbon, though that is a big focus. Rather, the rules include other natural gases including methane and nitrogen which are a byproduct of large farming operations. The nitrogen restrictions alone are set to destroy most farming operations in the Netherlands, which is one of the largest agricultural nations in the EU. Germany is set to follow the Netherlands with its own emissions rules in the near term.

First, it's important to ask “why now?” There are a host of reasons. First and foremost, the EU climate agenda closely aligns with the UN climate protocols for the year 2030 and requires a 55% reduction of emissions in less than a decade (and net zero by 2050). If you think these decisions are being made by individual governments then you are mistaken; the 2030 plan was formulated by globalist institutions like the UN and the Club of Rome - Member states are simply following orders. The time-frame for drastic environmental rules was likely set back in 1992 during the “Earth Summit” in Rio de Janeiro (also known as Agenda 21).

Why the year 2030? It's hard to say. There is no scientific basis for the timeline. There is no evidence to support the notion that climate change will make any noticeable environmental impact by 2030. They just really want carbon controls and other measures in place by 2030, and they won't give a concrete reason for it.

Climate doomsday predictions have been presented by establishment paid scientists and activist hysterics for decades, and not a single one of these predictions has ever come true. For example, in the 1970's climate scientists predicted a “new ice age” by the year 2000 and this nonsense scenario was spread widely by the media. Then they claimed that “acid rain” would kill off life in freshwater lakes in the 1980s; but that never happened. After that, the climate cult switched over to the global warming narrative, predicting that the ice caps would melt and rising seas would “obliterate nations” by the year 2000. Obviously, this never happened.

In the year 2000, scientists at the Climate Research Unit in Britain stated that snowfall was a “thing of the past” and that the next generation would not know what snow was. In 2008 NASA scientists argued that the Arctic would be “ice free” by the year 2018. The list goes on and on, and it would be hilarious if the people that made all these faulty predictions were not still influencing government policies, but they are.

The following quote from the Club of Rome, a group directly connected to the UN, should illustrate why the public has been constantly bombarded with climate doom mongering for the past few decades. The quote comes from a book titled ‘The First Global Revolution’ published in 1992. In that document they specifically recommend using global warming as a vehicle:

'In searching for a common enemy against whom we can unite, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like, would fit the bill. In their totality and their interactions these phenomena do constitute a common threat which must be confronted by everyone together. But in designating these dangers as the enemy, we fall into the trap, which we have already warned readers about, namely mistaking symptoms for causes. All these dangers are caused by human intervention in natural processes, and it is only through changed attitudes and behaviour that they can be overcome. The real enemy then is humanity itself.'

New York Rep Jerry Nadler is getting desperate as his primary challenger has a huge financial advantage heading into the August 23 primary.

Nadler got screwed in the redistricting process and now has a tough primary against Dem incumbent Representative Carolyn Maloney. Maloney is one of the richest members of Congress.

She loaned her campaign $900,000 in the second quarter to give her a massive lead over Nadler heading into the primary. And in real bad news for Nadler, she has plenty more where that came from.

Maloney has $2 million in the bank heading into the primary with the ability to bury Nadler under the weight of her fortune if she needs to. Nadler is limping into the finish line begging small donors for dollars.

“There was never a doubt that I would continue to fight for the people in my district,” Maloney said of the race in New York’s 12th Congressional District.

“Thus, I decided to use some of my retirement savings to invest in this campaign.”

Her spokesman later clarified and said this was from her House retirement account (so we are funding it in some way and if this money sends Nadler home it may be the best money the government has spent in 20 years).

People pushing these things on children should at the very least be jailed.

Biden Assistant Secretary for Health Rachel Levine: We need to “empower” kids to go on puberty blockers and get sex reassignment surgery.
