Yes, that is a common misnomer. It just sounds right coming off the tongue, at least for those fluent in English. It is, nevertheless, incorrect and cringeworthy when a Believer makes this mistake as it opens the door for any antagonists within earshot to ignore the point of the argument being made and to instead pounce on the Believers own ignorance of the proper spelling and pronunciation.
