A) Senate President Pro Tempore Sen Patrick Leahy (D-VT) remains out and had additional surgery. Leahy's office says "Senator Leahy’s surgical team found it necessary to perform an additional surgery to help advance his recovery."

B) Leahy's office: "Senator Leahy was back in his rehabilitation room by Tuesday evening and is once again working diligently with the physical therapists to return home as soon as possible." He had been out after fracturing his hip following a fall at home
