Baker not posting the dough?

Hide your money and stock up on canned goods. Water too, I guess, but couldn't I just tap the water heater if I get too dry? Oil lamps and flashlights in case the lights go out. What else?

>I just had a discussion with a self professed Anarcho-Communist co-worker.

It's the old argument that communism just hasn't been done the right way yet.

Human nature is not a part of the equation because it can't be controlled.

>As for fasting, have been doing that for years.

I don't exactly fast but I've been surviving on one meal a day for years. Sometimes I'm too lazy to eat so I guess I end up fasting for a day or two from time to time. Dunno why my metabolism has settled down to that. It's the same with water. I drink a lot of coffee but I can go at least 24 hours without anything to drink. I'm already adapted for the apocalypse, it would seem.

>I think many of us who saw this coming years, even decades ago, have been more or less naturally (or perhaps by divine guidance) been preparing our minds and bodies for what will be required.

I've been ill-at-ease about the state of the world for most of my life (I'm almost 70). Even to the point where I've subconsciously avoided keeping too many friends around. Almost like I knew that friends would one day become a hazard when the shit hits the fan. Something like that. Still not sure if I really understand why I'm mostly alone and like it that way.

>Surprised you figured out how to get here. Feel bad for the poor soul you had to call at 6am asking how to get the AOL to work.

That's a reasonable supposition. I don't know anyone my age that knows the Internet. I'm a child of technology. Been computing since 1981.

>But that is not true, the larger the surface area on the base of a wider diameter pot will heat the water much more quickly than using a narrow diameter pot.

Makes sense. Forget the pot then. Use a pan.

>The mainframe at my uni was the size of a house

I've never seen a mainframe. Closest I got to commercial computing was an Eclipse mini-computer. It was the size of a fridge with a 5MB hard drive. Don't want to dox myself so I'll just say that the thingies that the mini-computer was designed to control is what piqued my interest in computers.

>the more benefit there is for those who can access electric vehicles

At least until the lights go out, you dumb schmuck. What happens when the electric grid can't even keep the air conditioners running? You're gonna drive to a cooler place? Kek.
