The way humans have discovered mathematical truths is quite astonishing, and quite mystical and awe-inspiring. Going down that road, imho leads us in the right direction, or a constructive one, to perhaps not "know" the Creator of the Universe, but to follow in his footsteps, like children playing in a playground constructed by their loving parent.
It is our mind that is the greatest gift of the creator. Besides, of course, our soul.
