Perch is better, imo.
I was going to fry some perch in a cast iron skillet once, and I put it on the stove on a low heat while I was preparing other things.
All of a sudden, I got the urge to go play Black Jack at the Casino (I was addicted to gambling then). So, out the door I went to the Casino.
I sat at the Black Jack table for probably at least 2 hours, and I was winning BIGGLY!
Then I remembered that I left the stove on with the fish!
I cashed in right away, and ran out the door and drove home.
When I got home, the house smelt like cooked fish and my sister was home and said she turned the stove off and the fish smoked up the whole house.
I went into the kitchen and my perch was black black black as sin! I thought it was ruined!
I pulled off a piece and ate it…
