This planet is ok for about another 400 million years, absent killer asteroid impact, mini-nova, or gamma ray burst. Mars will be good for another 3 billion years or so, like earth surface once it warms up in a billion years. Titan should be inhabitable at some point. We end up underground in an enclosed ecology eventually if we stay in this solar system, or take our biosphere ecology to another more stable solar system. But no magnetic field on Mars, so have to figure that one out eventually. Sun proceeds through its lifespan. Andromeda Galaxy is on its way to collide eventually, lots more planets to colonize. So go outside and enjoy the fresh air and sunlight this weekend. It’s not going to last forever.
But we will have nasty ice ages all along the way, the continents will all collide together again in 250 million years or so. Gonna be a pretty wild ride so buckle up, buckaroos.
Meanwhile, most of the planet’s population has had itself injected with a technology that will have genetic ramifications for all future generations, if any of their offspring are viable. The unvaccinated must be protected for the future of humanity, and every AI has to be airgapped with redundant rail guns aimed at its core.
Q told me it was deeper than I could possibly imagine. So I stopped trying to imagine.
