The Beast - The Beast is the political entity that rules over the known world.
At some point, the whore is going to be stripped of her wealth, i.e. the Vatican is going to be gobbled up, think about how much wealth it currently has in property and relics, you know darn well there are people who would love to get their hands on it.
So, who will replace her? Quite possibly Israel after she rebuilds the temple. This makes sense because honestly, Islam has more in common with Hebrews than the western world. The Hebrews will play the whore for a while, it's one of the reasons they got spanked for 2000ish years in the first place, they will however finally get it right, but not before the shit hits the fan.
The EU will become the dominant economic power because they will essentially rebuild the old Roman empire. Israel will probably be at least the economic center of the empire if not the actual capitol. The Hebrews and the Islamic world will get along for a while because they will probably gain some economic benefits, at least for a while, but eventually it will all fall apart and the shit will start to fly.
