Politics is not the most important thing but it is pretty damn important.

To be cleaning up the rot in Washington, and NOT get full, political credit for it, would be foolish.

And DJT is no fool.

Obviously, things need to happen continually over time. The current brouhaha over dreamers is a case in point. Trump floats some trial balloons, indicating that immigration status is on the table, as it should be for any good negotiator, and his base is FREAKING OUT.

If Trump delivers for the dreamers and does not deliver perp walks for us, Trump will lose so hard in the court of public opinion that the House will go Dem in November, and he will be impeached, and he will be a 1 term president. End of story.

Thus he will deliver for us. But he will maximize the timing to allow for full political benefit to himself.

Expect some perp walks soon, but also major stories to break right through October.

The speed with which people jump to Gowdy's defense, despite his utter failure and fecklessness as a committee chair, makes me think he is uber-important to the deep state.

As in, Trey is doing his part to protect the swamp, so in turn the deep state does their part for Trey.
